Meglio prenotare.
Nice atmosphere, nothing special.
The food is also good but it's difficult to understand what to order. Menu unclear, without photos, or you know the dishes well otherwise you don't know what you're getting.
Disappointed with the choice I made, I wasn't happy with it. Not the type of restaurant for me. Questionable prices in relation to the portions.

Working in the area I've wanted to try this Japanese restaurant for a long time. What can I say, simply super. You can hardly taste such good sushi. The place is nice, small, welcoming and the staff is very courteous. If I have to find the only small flaw it is the bill, the prices are really very high mostly due to the portions. But it must be said that eating sushi in this restaurant is an experience that absolutely must be had.

I ate eel rice and was very satisfied. The rice grains are round and the texture is excellent.

Returning to Shiro (restaurant) after some time after the renovation, we found a welcoming and essential environment. Well prepared dishes, high quality, attentive service
Medium-high cost

'Shiro Poporoya' is a good and historical Japanese restaurant in Milan.
Some people might even say it is the first one in Milan and one of few where the cook is allowed to cook fugu.
It is a genuine Japanese restaurant, where you have the possibility to eat more special meals compared to a standard Japanese restaurant in Milan.
Be aware it is pricy, but it is definitely worthwhile.
Definitely advised!

A culinary orgasm, booked to celebrate a birthday, each dish that arrived was first a visual emotion and then an explosion of tastes in the mouth. After more than 20 years of eating Jappon, they managed to amaze and excite me. Delicious wagju meat and fish. Fantastic chef, the owner welcomed us and we felt pampered, very good staff. Really nice and welcoming renovated place. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, birthdays only happen once a year 😁😁😁

I’ve visited this restaurant many times over the years I’ve lived in Milan and definitely recommend it!
The food is authentic Japanese and I would say it’s one of the best Japanese places you can find in Milan. The owners are very kind and welcoming.
The quality of the ingredients are very good and I’ve enjoyed especially the gyoza and the Hokkaido-don (rice with fresh fish such as salmon, Ikura, scallops, squid on top).
They recently renovated the entire restaurant giving it a wonderfully new and modern Japanese atmosphere.
If you’re craving Japanese food I say this is the perfect place for authentic tasty dishes.

Polipo notevole. Rolls nella norma.
Peccato. Non è più quello di una volta.

Food ok, for what they charge I expected something more.
The sashimi was a RIP-OFF, it said salmon, tuna and amberjack, we were brought sea bass instead of amberjack.
Rather go to Poporoya opposite the same owner but the prices are honest and the portions are larger
