Shayan In Messina

One of the best bakeries in Messina. Truly top-notch, the sourdough ciabatta is spectacular.

We had two arancini, two pidoni (one fried and one baked), and two cannoli. The arancini were truly special; the pidoni were our first time trying them, not bad at all, but we have no other comparison. The two cannoli were good but nothing special; I've had better: the dough was very good, the ricotta was a bit too sweet, and they had chopped peanuts, which we weren't entirely sold on. Overall, they fry really well (the arancini had a very crunchy coating and no oil). The service was quick, and the owners were very kind. The prices were really fair, typical of a place frequented by locals (all in all, even with a 2-liter bottle of water, we paid 15 euros). A place worth trying; it's not touristy, which is even better.

My girlfriend and I spent a few days in Messina, and this bakery was a wonderful surprise. After days spent searching for quality products and eating only in tourist traps, we stumbled upon this special place by chance. Quality products, kindness, professionalism, and hospitality. Every time we stopped, we chatted with the staff. They were super kind and professional, even when preparing the products to take home. As soon as we walked in, they were freshly baked and ready to go—truly amazing!

Excellent products. The "freshly cooked" rustici are among the best I've ever eaten, especially the Arancini 🥰🤩

Getting off the ferry and eating their food makes you touch the stars... and even during the day!
