Always a relaxing place, whether for 5 minutes or hours... a landscape immersed in nature and good air.

We wanted to visit the Castello di Montegibbio, but discovered that it was closed at the time of our visit due to Ferragosto. This was a bit disappointing, as we were looking forward to seeing the interior and taking guided tours. 📍 Location & Surroundings ✅ The castle is idyllically situated on a hill, surrounded by green forests and vineyards, with beautiful views of the surrounding area. ✅ Easily accessible by car, although the last few kilometers are a narrow country road. ✅ Parking is available, but sometimes limited when visitors are busy. 🏰 Buildings & Architecture ✅ From the outside, the castle appears impressively well-preserved, with historic walls and towers. ⚠️ Unfortunately, we couldn't visit anything inside because the castle was closed. ✅ The view and the outdoor area of the castle are still perfect for taking photos and strolling. 👥 Service & Information ✅ The staff on site were friendly and were able to provide information about opening hours. ⚠️ No access to tours or interior areas at the time of our visit. 🍽 Dining & Offers ⚠️ Due to the closure, no dining options were available. Conclusion: The Castello di Montegibbio is impressive both scenically and architecturally. However, our visit unfortunately fell on Ferragosto, so we were unable to experience the interior areas. Therefore, only 4 stars, otherwise it would have been a full score.

Castle with a park and a church within the walls. On some summer days, they organize evenings in the inner courtyard, with a small pub and refreshment area.

July evenings at Montegibbio Castle are a wonderful way to escape the heat and spend time in a peaceful haven. The restaurant offers exquisitely prepared traditional dishes, and the shows are entertaining. The castle's interior is uniquely beautiful. Highly recommended.

The ideal refuge from the hot cities, enjoy the cool with top quality food.

I really liked it, especially the park below the castle walls, well-kept, I would have added only a few more bins for waste and a few benches... anyway beautiful I will return if I can again not be afraid to go up with the car.... but this is my problem. 😉😊🤗

Beautiful place in the middle of nature and we met very special people
