Terrible service!! The lady with short hair and garish makeup was so rude to us! Slamming the dishes on the counter and shouting at us. Thank God the other customers intervened cos she was so aggressive. She was ok with other customers, so I can only assume it is because she is racist! Would not recommend.
On top of all that, food was a solid 3/10, lukewarm and tasteless 👎🏾
Atmosphere was also rubbish, it was so crowded and unclean.

Here I’ve tried special and absolutely delicious takeaway food. Frittatine di pasta and mozzarella in carrozza were amazing!

So, after walking from one restaurant to another where the menu seemed to be a copy paste of each other, we reached here. It was crowded at lunch time. But the first thing we noticed, everyone inside was talking in Italian.
Then we ordered some food. And it was incredible. Authentic and tasty.
They have may be 5-6 vegetarian options but they are awesome. The fish options are incredible, or so I have was told.
Also very cheap.
A must eat place. It’s like fast food and crowded and chaotic but that’s the beauty of it.

A very good place to go for arancini.
A little tip: There are more seating options and a toilet upstairs.

We visited Gislon twice in February 2025. A local friend of mine suggested this place. Great food, amazing staff. The best choice in the center of Venice. Friendly atmosphere. Try their fried mozzarella and lazania and pinot grizio. Thank you, gentlemen. You made our day.
