Great location – view of Merano above the Tappeinerweg. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. There's also an unusual daily special – currently featuring truffles. Prices are rather high for Merano. But the location explains it. Great terrace and lovely interior.

It was a wonderful evening at Saxifraga. The food was fantastic, and the staff and hosts were very friendly. The view of Merano is breathtaking. Thank you to the entire Saxifraga team for the delicious food and the pleasant stay! We will definitely be back!

Hausgemachte Pasta & Gnocchi, was will man mehr?! Jeder der hierfür einen Abzug macht ist ein mördige sacksiech weil er es selbst nicht besser kann. Vorzüüglich!!

Ich wollte mich für die super nette Bedienung, dem absolut perfektem Essen und dem tollen Ausblick mit dem super tollen Ambiente bedanken☺️ Wir haben am Schluss einen Schnaps aufs Haus bekommen, ich hatte einen Haselnusslikör und ich fand den super super lecker. Woher war der?

Ristorante dell'Hotel Gerstgras

02/10/2025: I was last here in 2011. Since then, it has undergone extensive renovations, but the balance between tradition and modernity hasn't been completely achieved. Nevertheless, it's a good hotel with first-class service and good cuisine in a wonderful setting, albeit in a remote location.
01/09/2025: We had a wonderful stay at this hotel at the end of August, two families with teenage children. The hotel has everything you need: a pool, a hot tub, and a lovely spa. The breakfast was good and complete, as was the dinner, with good quality and variety. The staff was helpful. There's also a games area with ping pong, billiards, and foosball. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms. The only reason I didn't give the room 5 stars is the lack of a bidet, which, given the hotel's recent renovation and the spacious bathroom...it wasn't a bad thing...since a bidet is a VERY USEFUL feature! Otherwise, everything was perfect.
