A wonderful discovery in the heart of the covered market! We enjoyed two plates of truffle pasta (one with white truffle and one with black truffle), both absolutely delicious: perfectly cooked, generous pieces of truffle, and seasoned just right. A true delight for the taste buds! The atmosphere is friendly and authentic, with the lively energy typical of Italian markets. The staff is welcoming, smiling, and genuinely kind, making the experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit if you're in the market: simple, flavorful, and full of charm at a reasonable price.

The restaurant is located in Florence's central market, and the market has a great vibe, but honestly, the food wasn't amazing. We ordered a dish with truffles, and it was bland. We also ordered a truffle carbonara, which was okay, but nothing spectacular for the price. I do highly recommend visiting the market itself.

The truffle pasta was delicious. The staff were much more pleasant and friendly than those at other restaurants in the market.

I came to Florence and ate all the truffles I could. The bruschetta was fantastic, and the truffle pasta risotto was the best. It's not the quality you find in the market. I'll definitely visit again when I'm back in Florence.💛👍

We were at the Mercateo for lunch. Il Tartufo caught our attention on the second floor. The name says it all: many dishes are served with truffle shavings, freshly grated in front of the guests. The waitresses and the two chefs were very friendly and clearly enjoyed their work. When we ordered, we were offered to heat up the appetizers, which we naturally took advantage of. The food can be eaten directly at the counter or taken to one of the many tables in the hall. All in all, the food was delicious and reasonably priced! If you can handle the hustle and bustle of the market hall, then Il Tartufo is a definite recommendation!
