Sapori & Parole In Roma

We ended up at this restaurant by chance (because the one we were supposed to go to was closed), and that turned out to be a pleasant hiccup. "Sapori e parole" offered us a taste of typical Roman dishes, worthy of an A+ (the carbonara was spectacular), and welcomed us with a homey atmosphere, a chat, and a few laughs. The only shame is that we live 600 km away! We highly recommend it.

I've been frequenting this place for a while now, and I can honestly say it's much more than just a place to eat or drink: it's become a second family. The owners' warm welcome is rare; you immediately feel at ease, like you're among old friends. I've experienced it in many different ways: working for a few hours, enjoying a leisurely dinner, chatting over a good drink, and staying late, until closing time, always with the feeling of being in the right place. An authentic place, where human connection truly matters and where you're more than just a customer.

I went for aperitivo with a friend, attracted by the all-you-can-eat buffet for €12, a truly competitive price. As you can see from the photos, the variety of dishes is good, even if the quality isn't top-notch—but for the price, I'd say it's more than acceptable. The portions are generous, so if you're hungry, you won't be disappointed. The interior of the place didn't convince me: the atmosphere is a bit bare, lacking a distinct style, and verges on the cluttered. The outdoor space, however, is decidedly more pleasant. A truly positive note goes to the staff: friendly and helpful. I had ordered a beer that unfortunately wasn't cold enough, but when I pointed this out, they immediately replaced it with a cooler one from the bottom of the fridge, even asking if it was okay. A simple gesture, but much appreciated.
