Tasty, cheap, no attractive atmosphere 😔

My husband and I had dinner here on a Saturday evening: the veranda we sat on is a bit neglected, but spacious and quiet. We ordered trofie with pesto (good, not too salty as sometimes happens, with potatoes and perfectly cooked green beans) and pasta stuffed with squid ink with seafood sauce and scampi (the ravioli could have been cooked a couple of minutes longer, but the sauce was tasty, and the small scampi were excellent, truly fresh and flavorful). Then there were two mixed fried fish dishes (calamari, shrimp, and anchovies)—the fried fish was light and dry, the fish fresh, with a special mention for the truly tender calamari. It's a shame the oil was overused. We ordered a bottle of Pigato, which was poured without us tasting it first. The service was courteous, if a bit awkward, and the timing was adequate, as were the prices (fair markup on wines). Overall, it was a positive experience, but the service could be improved and the fryer oil could be changed!

My partner and I had dinner here. The place was nice and welcoming. The waiters were friendly and the service was quite quick. We had two seafood appetizers, a first and second course of seafood, wine, and two coffees. All the dishes were good and plentiful. A special mention goes to the shellfish soup, which was truly excellent. We were also satisfied with the bill... we had a good time.

We probably came on the wrong night (since the reviews are usually positive). I think there is a lack of organization from the waiting staff. The waitress after taking our orders (we had already had the menu in our hands for 20 minutes), comes back to ask us what we wanted to eat after 10 minutes (it was the same waitress from the "first order"). The family sitting next to us had not yet ordered and had arrived before us. The waitresses do not have a specific area and divide all the tables, creating a lot of confusion in my opinion. After 20-30 minutes, we see two plates of spaghetti allo scoglio (obviously not ordered by us) arrive at our table (I thought it was a joke hahaha). The mixed fish appetizer is not worth its price (they seem like reheated dishes made the day before). Spaghetti with clams is good and fried fish is average. I am sorry to write this negative review. It must have been a bad night.
