I had researched this place beforehand. The food was not as unique as I thought it would be but it was nice. It’s also a bit pricey but service was impressive and d good wine options.

One of the best bites of food I’ve ever had. The carbonara was transcendent. Also, order the specials. The melon, honey and goat cheese antipasti, chef’s kiss 😘

It may be the most punctual restaurant in Rome, do not go before your appointment time. The sign does not say SantoPalato, so it was a little difficult to understand that we were in the right place. It's a small but cute place.

A carbonara that would convert a vegan!
Cozy and welcoming environment, almost from another era. Timeless menu proposals and with some surprises with a more modern feel, masterfully executed and excellent ingredients. Add to that an unexpected selection of wines and professional service, with the right timing, and you will forget you are in the most crowded city in Italy. No matter where you are, come here (booking in advance!)

Traditional trattoria-style environment but with refined interiors and very friendly staff. Delicious carbonara, as were the starters (in the photo, chicken rigaje omelette and heart ham with bread and tomato).
Dessert on the menu to try, burnt wheat Maritozzo with Chantilly cream.
To be booked at least 1/2 weeks in advance given the few seats.
Absolutely must try!

Quality of ingredients and care in preparation worthy of the name and recognition it brings. It is worth booking even a month in advance to be able to have a different experience from the usual restaurant. The cooking and flavors are very strong, decisive and aromatic, with many fresh herbs and also unusual cuts and ingredients, such as the pigeon's foot which was the best dish of lunch.
Polite and helpful service with a semi-open kitchen and simple, unobtrusive restaurant atmosphere. Very fair bill, with a single note for the sweet wines accompanying the desserts, which are a little expensive. We'll be back to try different dishes.

Lunghissime liste d’attesa per trovare un tavolo ma finalmente ci riusciamo. La fama di questa taverna romana rivisitata la precede e devo dire che è meritata. Gli antipasti sono delle leccornie ( se vi piacciono le interiora). Per primo prendiamo della carbonara, semplicemente eccellente. E infine di secondo proviamo 3 alternative, tutte quante gustose e ricercate.
Prezzi leggermente alti ma giustificati anche dall’alto livello della cucina.

Locale famosissimo a Roma, anche per il fatto di dover prenotare con amplissimo anticipo dando anche la carta di credito come caparra.
Quando finalmente ci siamo andati, effettivamente il locale è piccolino per la sua fama, ma forse meglio così.
La gestione è molto giovanile, il menù è molto ristretto ma c’è un’ampia carta dei vini.
Insomma abbiamo preso la celeberrima carbonara (confermiamo tutto!!) e quindi due secondi molto buoni: budello di agnello aromatizzato secondo ricetta e polpetta di coda alla vaccinara. Per chiudere, un dessert una torta alla zucca molto buona.
