I was a regular customer of Santopadre during my "Roman years" and I never failed to dine with them during my Roman reunions. I returned to Santopadre a few evenings ago after several years with some friends and, after the dismay of seeing the change in management, I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied. The staff, kind and helpful, also express themselves correctly in English (which is not a given in Rome). The cuisine is excellent and the dishes plentiful. I particularly appreciated the "Roman-style artichokes", a truly typical dish of Roman cuisine, apparently simple but in which no ingredient is left to chance. The rigatoni alla matriciana is also appreciable. Congratulations to the new management.

En una calle tranquila, el único restaurante que es inusual en Roma. Nos lo recomendó un amigo que vive en Roma. Fue una experiencia encantadora. Las alcachofas de estilo romano eran suaves y sabrosas, el risotto de zafrón era excelente también. La focaccia fue una decepción porque era un pan caliente estilo pita. Se lo mencionamos a nuestro amable camarero y no nos cobraron por ello. Una cena maravillosa.

We had drinks and starters and the most amazing melon aperitivo that we went back there for ! Our server was helpful and very friendly, a real character. 5 stars.

One of the lovliest meals we had in Rome! My parents are a little picky with what they can eat and the restaurant offered to alter what meals they could in order to accommodate my parent’s dietary requirements. The food and the service were both so wonderful

Absolutely amazing food, the best we have had in rome! We are gutted we just discovered this restaurant on our last night as we would have come back here indefinitely! Very kind servers, interacted so well with us, had such a great laugh! Food was incredible!!
