Update 2024.
At the beginning of October we were back in the Barolo area. So it was clear to us that we would plan a meal at Santisè on the return journey via Asti. The weather was a bit too cool for an outdoor lunch, but the interior is also very nicely decorated - somewhat Italian-rustic. As expected, the food was again excellent and the service was very friendly and personal. Another highlight was the “open red wine” that my wife ordered. She could choose, took the Barbera d'Asti Bricco dell Uccellone and was thrilled. The bottle from which the wine was served had an elaborate attachment that protected the wine from oxygen - very appropriate for this good wine. - Until the next trip to Piedmont!
We were there for lunch in September 2022. Very nicely prepared and delicious food in a very pleasant atmosphere outside in the garden of the restaurant. We liked it so much that we stopped there again a week later on our way back.

Excellent experience.
The place is truly remarkable, with a window overlooking a beautiful garden.
High quality dishes. In the mixed starter I particularly appreciated the marinated carrots and green beans with hazelnuts and toasted millet.
The first, the green risotto with bacon, was excellent.
For second I had the tripe with a sprinkling of pepper. It was only the second time I ate this type of meat, the first didn't convince me and I was curious to try it again cooked by others. In this case it was very delicate with a complex but pleasant flavour.
I found the dessert, a Bavarian cream with peaches and barbera, particularly satisfying.
At my request, the first was paired with a good glass of Grignolino and to conclude a touch of Cognac.
You don't go to a restaurant to eat, in this country you might as well stay at home or go to a restaurant. We go to restaurants to experience emotions, to build memories, to spend quality time. An all-round sensorial experience that starts from the environment and ends up in the plates, glasses and cups.
Santise' fully responds to this expectation and, for now, it is my favorite restaurant.
The bill is proportionate.

Beautiful atmosphere in a typical Monferrato context. Marco and Barbara are excellent hosts and will know how to satisfy your expectations with refined dishes but at the same time linked to the tradition of these fantastic places. A real kitchen, where the dishes are still prepared with attention and rigor. Compliments.
