We had the eggplant pie, maccheroncino, Guinea fowl, profiterolles (real and home-made!!!!) and tiramisu. Wowza! I’d have rated the food seven out of five if that were possible. It was simply exquisite.

San Silvestro in Cantina is one of my favorite restaurants. It's in a perfect location in Bologna, right in the center of Piazza Minghetti. The food is excellent, and the staff is incredibly kind, professional, and incredibly welcoming. Highly recommended!

I dined in one of the quietest and most refined places in Bologna. I've tried many restaurants, both Michelin-starred and otherwise, and this one definitely exceeded my expectations, even in terms of value. Highly recommended!

20/09/2025: Nice place, especially the outside. Some original and well-made dishes, worth the price. But the gnocco fritto (fried gnocchi) with cured meats and sauces/pickles for €20, and even more so with scraps of prosciutto, is absolutely outrageous in an area where everyone offers this dish. So with two portions of gnocco fritto, two spaghetti dishes, and a €30 bottle of wine, we spent a whopping €118—too much!

10/11/2025: Excellent meat, well-cooked. The desserts are also good. The only downside is the noisy dining room.
09/11/2025: Pleasant place, good food quality. I returned after a while and I find myself forced to revise the old review I had made regarding the portions, more than adequate, the prices slightly above average but overall an excellent restaurant.
