San Michele Sud Experience In Padova

We went on Sunday morning for a classic breakfast: an excellent selection of pastries and other sweets. It's a shame that table service was very slow and late, not the fault of the young lady but of the lady at the coffee machine, who was busy doing other things instead of making coffees and cappuccinos while the room was packed with people waiting at tables! Furthermore, after making our cappuccinos, she left them on the tray with the pastries next to the entrance door to cool as people came and went. The cappuccinos were cold, and the milk had been reheated too many times, so the water was plain. It's a shame. The coffee maker definitely needs improvement.

The pastries are okay, but everything is overpriced. There’s nothing exceptional there.

Perfect Brioche and Cappuccino!

I stopped by for breakfast, and had a Christmas tree-shaped brioche. The brioche dough wasn't very flavorful (except for the toasted outer layer, which tasted like puff pastry), and it was overly sweet. The atmosphere was clean. Service was slow. The macchiato was good. I'll be back to try other southern Italian specialties.

They have got very good brioches and maritozzo, i had a classic maritozzo and it was really good. Calm place, good service.

When you find a product that is well above average, with an obviously above average price, a selection of sweet and savory, all made to perfection... you can give 5 stars, or rather, you have to give 5 stars, unfortunately inflated even on mediocre businesses or certainly not of this caliber, the only flaw as far as I'm concerned is the difficulty of parking a few steps away, being a busy street, but oh well, faced with so much goodness, you make do... moving on to the products I took 10 different pieces, meanwhile in a nice box like the DONUTS donuts in America, practical, clean, without the need for plastic on top that regularly sticks to the products, well done already for this intelligent choice, products: from the maritozzo, to the brioches with raspberry or pistachio or almonds, the latter the best for my tastes, to some pastries with ricotta and black cherry, to a round savory product whose name I don't know and always round 2 fruit baskets with custard, but Not the usual small ones, they were 10cm in diameter, so at least 2 small pastries... 2 other pastries, I think typical of Puglia... I did have some preferences (maritozzo and almond brioche), but I have to say they were each better than the other... refined products, unusual for Padua, high quality. Obviously, for 11 pieces I spent €46 if I remember correctly... not a small amount, but the products were good, from the raw materials to the preparation, not least the friendly staff, with fast service and the aforementioned packaging... absolutely in line with the "package" purchased. Well done, I'll definitely be back even if you're a bit out of the way for me... but it's worth traveling 10 km and the same on the way back for such quality and selection.

Pain chocolat for €3, I expected better. The pastry was really good, but it was practically empty. It's also a shame they don't stock lactose-free milk. Nice ladies. The Christmas tree was really good, as I imagine all the other brioches are. It's a shame I got probably the emptiest one of all.
