26/12/2024: One of the few places open at the beginning of December on the Lido. Traditional cuisine, attentive service and great availability of dishes linked to the sea (without however neglecting pizza and some meat). I preferred the sea, for consistency, and I was more than satisfied. The bulk wine is also excellent. The price maybe a little high, but the quality demands it.
Having recently returned, I confirm everything, in particular the quality of the Fritto food which is truly noteworthy.
26/12/2024: We used to come here when we lived on the Lido on the occasion of a visit from some relative or friend, this time we came back as "tourists".
Always varied menu, excellent quality raw materials, elegant environment, very kind waiters especially with my 7 year old daughter.
Booking via app is convenient, but today it created a very unpleasant situation.
Booked and had lunch on the 24th without problems. Today (26 December), due to a change of plans, we book at the last minute via app for 12.
We arrive and the reservation does not appear. I showed the confirmation email to the owner, who claimed he had blocked bookings via the app.
Confirmation that there was an app error, for us there was no problem, it can happen.
Only then he added, in a tone between annoyed and haughty, "Did you think you would find a place on December 26th by booking 10 minutes in advance?".
He could have canceled someone. Maybe the others had booked for later and there was a space left. A stroke of luck.
There is no need to humiliate the customer like this, especially if the error was due to the booking app.
I immediately called another place and, mortified at first, I said "I know it's late and you probably have no room left...". They responded pleasantly "There's room, we look forward to seeing you!".
Sometimes a little humanity is worth more than a perfect mise en place.
