Simply fantastic! We discovered this grocery store by chance during our vacation and returned several times. Authenticity, freshness, flavor, courtesy, and very fair prices despite the high quality of the ingredients. This place is more than just a grocery store, but a little gem where you can savor the authentic flavors of Cilento and experience a genuine welcome.

A fortuitous discovery Sometimes, while vacationing in a tourist destination, you succumb to the temptation to pop into a grocery store for a sandwich without too many expectations. Instead, you discover a world of authentic local products—wines, cheeses, cured meats—and a wealth of genuine hospitality and expertise, without too many frills. This, in my opinion, is the most effective way to promote the area and its products.

What a wonderful little shop, small business. I visited several times this week and had different types of sandwiches all of which were excellent. Family owned, Gainer is very aware of food allergies and offers gluten-free options. Price is great and worth it. Amazing products and people! The store owners are incredibly lovely and helpful. We came to the store several times for panini, charcuterie, and cheeses to eat there or take back to our hotel terrace. They always had a great recommendation whether it be about products to try or other restaurants in the area. They have beers, wines, snacks, water.. anything you could need. We also bought items to bring home, including vacuum sealed salami and jarred goods. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome in Palinuro!

We popped in for a bottle of water and found ourselves immersed in a world of courtesy, dedication, and passion for authentic, high-quality, local flavors! Amedeo and Gaynor took us on a tour of Cilento's delicacies, from bruschetta with capers, anchovies, and mozzarella (as well as tomatoes) to provolone podolico...and there was so much more to try...it's a shame the weekend was over! I was lucky enough to stop at this delicatessen for the first time last year, and this year only confirmed my thoughts. The owners are very kind and friendly. Gaynor and Amedeo are proof that you can work with excellent products while maintaining perhaps overly "normal" prices. Quality products and culinary offerings for a complete lunch that satisfy every palate. Palinuro is definitely a must-visit every year to enjoy their offerings.

The salumeria was an absolute gem for us. We stumbled upon it by chance, had lunch there once, and then spent two evenings there. The owners, a Scottish woman and an Italian man, took wonderful care of us. The food was incredibly varied, lovingly prepared and presented, and absolutely delicious. We always expected something special, and that's exactly what we got. The selection of cured meats was incredible. The buffalo mozzarella was divine. The drinks were also excellent. We were genuinely sorry to have to leave. I highly recommend a visit to everyone. Thank you so much to the two owners for having us as their guests.

Last night, as they've been doing for years, Gaynor and Amedeo prepared delicious dishes inspired by Cilento tradition, presented with Scottish grace and imagination. Everything was done with the utmost simplicity, seasoned with kindness and affection. I recommend everyone try it.
