If you're looking for a truly high-quality Japanese restaurant in Como, this is the right choice. This family-run establishment is masterfully run. The cuisine is authentic Japanese, without overly catering to Western tastes like many chains. The flavors are authentic for those unfamiliar with Japanese cuisine, perhaps a little harsh, but still true to tradition. In my opinion, the cuisine is very good and as high-quality as anything I've tried in Japan. The prices are fair for what you get. Recommended.

Sono cliente da parecchi anni e mi sono sempre trovato benissimo qui. Ho viaggiato parecchio per il mondo e posso dire che la qualità del Sakura non si trova facilmente. La location poco visibile dall'esterno non deve ingannare su quanto questo ristorante sia una piccola gemma nascosta.Andate avanti così!!

Not to be confused with all you can eat restaurants, Sakura is a real Japanese restaurant with excellent quality and impeccable service, so don't compare it to fake Japanese ones.

12/07/2025: Stopped by chance. In front of the restaurant, there's a nice, open space with plenty of parking, so no problems with parking. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly. I think the chandeliers are beautiful. They give you a tablet to order so you can order independently. The dishes are slightly different from the usual ones we've found around, but they're still very good and flavorful. A nice discovery. Easy access for wheelchair users.

20/07/2025: At Niwa, I found a truly elegant and modern place, with kind, professional staff. I felt pampered, high quality food. Let's dispel the thought of going to any sushi restaurant and gorging ourselves. Niwa is authentic and unique. I will return and I highly recommend it.
