Nothing exceptional, the food seems dull, but it's cheap so I can't complain.
Plus, the staff is very friendly.

1) What's the place like for lunch?
A historic Perugia restaurant near the train station, this small restaurant has about 30 tables (all very close together), most for 2-4 people, and a slightly dated but overall pleasant design.
The atmosphere is very relaxing, with a low noise level, oriental chill music (although almost inaudible), and plenty of waiters who keep the place clean (not super friendly, but still professional).
The lunch menu is rather limited, so much so that frequent visits are not recommended unless you're willing to repeat the same options. The fixed lunch menu, priced at €19.40 and including a bottle of water, is acceptable, but you might want to expect more, considering the growing competition from higher-quality establishments.
2) What's the food like?
Unfortunately, it wasn't an unforgettable experience: the cuisine, like the restaurant, has fallen far behind and has been offering the same things for years, and most of the dishes lacked a touch of professionalism and impressive plating. I'll start by saying that I didn't notice any major errors, but rather small things that, if improved, would greatly boost the quality.
-Appetizers: The shrimp cocktail and the spicy-sweet soup were quite good (although a bit too sweet and sour), but otherwise, nothing special. The lack of meatless ravioli was unacceptable.
-Sushi: Good enough, but nothing special.
-First courses: Overall, good.
-Second courses: The shrimp were fresh enough, but the sauces could be improved. For example, the spicy sauce was full of oil, the lemon sauce had lemons with bitter peel, and the sautéed mixed fish (calling shrimp and surimi 'mixed fish' is a serious complaint) was a bit too salty.
-Other: No Chinese bread or similar...
3) Is it worth it?
I've been coming to this restaurant for probably 10 years now, and I wasn't expecting the quality of the food to improve, so I knew what I was getting into. But all things considered, it's not easy to fill your stomach for less than €20 these days, and, as I said before, the food isn't all that bad either. It's just a shame that halfway through the meal, I started feeling a little strange, with a bloated stomach, a sharp drop in appetite, an increased heart rate, and a lot of thirst, which is very serious in 2025. I also noticed other people unbuttoning their pants, so I'm not the only one. Unfortunately, this episode significantly impacted my overall experience, otherwise I could have aspired to 4 stars.

Sushi like many others, perhaps even too many, in Perugia. Good, but nothing extraordinary. Perhaps its biggest flaw is its location in one of Perugia's most neglected areas, namely Fontivegge Station on Via Campo di Marte.
