14/02/2025: I had noticed this little place since the first day I arrived in Sestriere!! From the outside the equipped wooden house had a welcoming atmosphere, in fact I wasn't wrong!! We decide to go there for lunch, we ask the restaurateur, who was very kind among other things, what the dishes of the day were. He brought us some homemade tortellini and agnolotti, one seasoned with boiled meat, the other with Piedmontese sausage... what can I say? Of a unique delicacy, a joy for the palate. The same thing I can say for the osso bucco that served us second, excellent is an understatement! I usually don't like cakes with apples, but even the dessert didn't disappoint me, in fact I loved their apple cake with eggnog cream!! I conclude by saying that I have found my favorite restaurant in Sestriere!!! From today I know where to find excellent food cooked with heart! Highly recommended
10/02/2025: Let me start by saying that I didn't see the reviews before entering the restaurant with my girlfriend, from the outside it looked like a very nice place, welcoming and with nice dishes.
We booked for the evening to eat there and the first welcome was really pleasant, the young waiter was very polite and helpful.
The problem arose upon the arrival of the older waiter who, after we asked for simple information and ordered our food, responded badly, leaving us stunned....
Asking the young waiter if there were any problems (since we are quiet people) we understand that the gentleman is in himself rude to customers.
Despite this we ate our dishes which were really good in fact I celebrate my birthdays with the chef👍🏻. However, this story left us with a bad taste in our mouths and we also had it when the elderly waiter came to us and instead of a simple excuse he made up a colossal lie to justify what he said at that moment, blaming it on some foreigners who, according to him, "were stealing something from him outside the restaurant" which doesn't hold up because we saw him head straight for the kitchen as soon as he took the orders... There would be more to add but I'll end here.
Having worked in catering, I know well that there can be bad days... But if I had ever allowed myself to say what he told us I would have lost my job immediately, so a piece of advice... Don't treat customers like idiots because they are always the ones who feed you and they are not stupid. In my opinion it is necessary to keep certain thoughts to yourself and, if you are not able to do so, hand the job over to someone else, especially if your job consists of being in close contact with the public, in which you are the representative face of the venue.
Ps: receipts are taken seriously because we all have to pay taxes.
