Sa Domu Sarda In Cagliari

One room very noisy, the other perfect. Excellent food and service

We went to Sa Domu Sarda on a Sunday for lunch to enjoy some typical Sardinian dishes and we were pleasantly surprised. Simple and very characteristic location, with a small room in front of the window on Via Sassari and a second larger internal room. Unlike many other similar restaurants, the tables are large and spacious. The menu is quite rich and the proposals are exclusively land-based, we opted for 4 appetizers and 4 first courses accompanied by a bottle of Nepente and preceded by a small appetizer offered by the house. The quality of the food is excellent, the portions are right and the service is attentive and kind. It is no coincidence that it is mentioned among the best taverns in Italy and in the Michelin guide! We spent €85 per couple and I must say that the prices are a bit high considering that these are land-based dishes. Overall it is a good restaurant and I recommend it to tourists who want to try typical Sardinian cuisine.

Definitely a must-visit when visiting Cagliari. Typical Sardinian food. The service from the entire staff was spectacular, and the atmosphere, with relaxing background music, was amazing.

Would have been a 5 but it was crowded and loud and it was hard to hear the people at our table. Food and service was excellent though. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I just LOVED this restaurant. The food.. beyond delicious! We had various appetizers and main dishes, from the melted cheese, to the sausage and fennel, fregola, culurgiones, ravioli, it was all amazing! Even the wine from Sardegna was so tasty- very very good! This restaurant knows what they’re doing- just go and you’ll understand and I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

Good Sardinian gnocchi with sausage and the Culurgiones were also delicious, to accompany the very fresh Vermentino by the glass.

Servizio gentile e veloce. Bello il locale e vario il menù ricco di proposte tipiche. Tutto squisito,antipasto di formaggi tipici con marmellate,melanzana fritta e poi i primi piatti. Fregola allo zafferano con salsiccia e funghi spaziale,gnocchetti sardi con salsiccia divino e vino Cannonau da far girar la testa. Per finire? Il dolce tipico più buono che c’è! Miele e formaggio fritto in questa sfoglia sottile e calda che sa regalare al palato ricordi unici. Grazie Sardegna

Con amici ci siamo recati in via Sassari alla ricerca di un ristorante per pranzo la domenica. Entrati in questo locale, anche senza prenotazione, ci hanno fatto attendere un attimo per poi farci accomodare, nonostante fosse pieno. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto misto di formaggi e affettati, tutti eccezionali e locali. Abbiamo proseguito poi con tre primi, tutti fatti a mano e squisiti. Infine abbiamo preso delle verdure passate in padella molto buone. Dimenticavo di scrivere che il pranzo è iniziato con un' entre di vellutata di cavolo con salsiccia. Servizio attento e professionale. Conto 34,00€ a testa, contando anche due calici di vino e l' acqua.
