A charming little place, with attention to every detail, and quick and very friendly service. They offer Serbian specialties, and the dishes we tried were excellent, and the value for money was good. I recommend it!

After a warm welcome with lard canapés, the wonderfully kind and attentive staff came to take our orders. The mixed appetizers were delicious, the grilled meat for two was amazing, and the local beers were excellent. Thanks to the waitress, who was truly friendly. We'll definitely be back!

We ate wonderfully! I struggle to find a dish that satisfies all my culinary desires. The grilled meat took me back to my family vacations in the Balkans when I was very young. The portions are more than generous, and the service is excellent. The waitress who served us was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome even though we arrived very close to closing time. It's a shame we can't give it six stars!

This place exists to wake up all your senses, not just to feed you. Forget clichés of “national cuisine.” The food may be rooted on the other side of the Adriatic, but the way it’s prepared, presented, and served lifts it far above the standard Balkan-roots grill house you might expect. Everything - from the cozy design to the soft-rock soundtrack - creates an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and surprisingly modern. (Yes, I caught myself humming along to songs I hadn’t heard since my teenage years.) The food is amazing, and you won’t find most of these dishes anywhere else in Trieste. Every plate is crafted with care, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, color and fresh cut veggies - the kind of food that makes you want to come back until you’ve tried the whole menu. And you’ll happily invent excuses: dinner with friends, family gatherings, even business meetings (where you secretly hope the deal includes dessert). The service is just as good: warm, professional, and perfectly in tune with the vibe. You feel taken care of without the slightest trace of pretense. If you arrive expecting only tradition, Rustiko will surprise you. If you come looking for something special, it will give you more than you imagined. A restaurant you’ll remember, revisit, and recommend with a smile.

siamo capitati a cena un sabato sera per caso nel nostro primo giro a Trieste, il locale è bellissimo ed accogliente, la mia metá ha chiacchierato per quasi tutta la cena con Antonella che, gentilissima, ci faceva visita spesso illustrandoci il menú. abbiamo assaggiato un misto delle principali portate, la cucina è tipica serba, siamo rimasti deliziati. alla fine ci hanno anche offerto un assaggio di vino "Terrano" indicandoci dove avremmo potuto comprarlo in zona. in definitiva, serata da sogno!
