We arrived for lunch (two of us) without a reservation and were immediately seated at one of the few remaining tables. We opted for the mixed tasting menu and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was attentive without being intrusive and explained all the dishes to us, which were truly delicious.

A nice place, excellent service, the dishes were not very hot and the meat was so-so.

Two days ago, I spent a delightful evening with my wife and granddaughter at Rustiko in Trieste, a super-welcoming trattoria offering all kinds of Balkan dishes, all washed down with excellent beer. We had everything we needed, including sarma, cabbage leaves stuffed with meat, creamed pumpkin soup, and a huge mixed grill that included chicken and lamb skewers, a selection of at least five or six types of sausages and frankfurters, as well as the famous cevapcici. I added a generous amount of ajvar, a pepper, eggplant, and tomato sauce, and fried potatoes. We finished with excellent coffee and a superb slivoviza. The girls who looked after us were very friendly, professional, and empathetic. The quality-price ratio was perfect. The place was clean, as were the services. The atmosphere, decor, and restroom facilities were pleasant. A wonderful experience, worth repeating, and definitely recommended without hesitation.

For those who love strong and tasty food, I highly recommend coming to Sasa Rustico and tasting Serbian cuisine.

It could have been much better but the place was cold or maybe where I was placed was cold.... service worthy of note only for the girl from Puglia, the rest was boring.... food without anything special....

We stumbled upon it by chance before leaving Trieste, searching Google for a restaurant near our location. We were intrigued by Serbian cuisine, and the experience was perfect. Prebarnak, srpski, beer, vanilla cream, coffee—all very good, in a beautifully decorated setting, and with a kind, friendly, and knowledgeable owner without being intrusive. What can I say? If we ever find ourselves in Trieste again, we'll definitely be back!
