The Ruffoni restaurant in Ornica is a true culinary jewel. I had the pleasure of tasting the best pizzoccheri and fresh pasta with venison ragù, and I have to say that they were among the best dishes I have ever tasted. Furthermore, the polenta taragna with braised meat was simply delicious and conquered my palate. Even though the price might be a little higher than other restaurants, I can guarantee that every penny spent was worth it. The food is of high quality and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend a visit to the Ruffoni Restaurant in Ornica to all lovers of good food.

Amazing little canteen in this beautiful mountain village. Caution: Please remember that even though this place is open early it does not serve the offered food until 13:00!! They use the time before to prepare everything fresh! Luckily I arrived at 12:00, so the wait wasn't bad. The food itself is absolutely incredible. Cooked with love and passion, regional and seasonal ingredients and handmade wherever it goes. It was such an incredible experience. Deserts are also homemade and simply stunning and packed with flavour. Be sure to give this place a try if you're in the area and looking for some authentic, home cooking.

Trattoria in the middle of nowhere, I think it's the only restaurant in Orneta. Kind and nice staff, typical mountain menu. Unfortunately not all dishes were successful. The casoncelli are very good but the pancetta should be toasted more, the pizzoccheri tasteless and very "wet". Good birds that escaped. Tender but dry venison stew. Polenta taragna with very little cheese (it didn't string). Price too expensive! €2.50 for cover charge (?) First courses €10, second courses €19.

Cena allietata dalla simpatica Marta, che si è presa cura di me e mi ha rallegrato la cena. Cibo ottimo: gnocchi alle erbe di montagna burro e salvia, arrosto alle erbe con funghi e polenta e infine una fetta di crostata ai frutti di bosco fatta in casa. Marta mi ha anche offerto un antipasto e il digestivo e fatto lo sconto sul conto. Inoltre la vista dalle vetrate del ristorante è splendida. Cosa desiderare di più da un locale? P.S.: ho fatto anche la colazione e le torte sono buonissime!
