Moroccan rotisserie in the center of Modena. At the counter you can choose how to compose your main course, guided by the advice of the kind owners. I wanted to try rice with meat and almonds, stuffed aubergine, chicken curry with rice and beef tajine with plums. On the side I ordered two falafel and a fried cauliflower. All very good, in particular I appreciated the beef tajine and the stuffed aubergine. They offered me a plate with hummus, yogurt sauce, harissa and olives, a delicious mint tea and dates (both dried and fresh). With a 0.66l Moretti I spent €17, good value for money.

Siamndtatibdue volte, ottimo cibo, abbiamo mangiato entrambe le volte carni con legumi e riso, proprietario gentilissimo, ti fa sentire a casa,ti accoglie con antipasti compresi nel coperto, consigliatissimo il tè alla menta

I returned to the Trattoria della Gioia because I was impressed the first time; few appearances and a lot of genuine substance surrounded by kind and polite ways.
Honestly, I'm used to more expensive places but their simplicity is manifested in everything that surrounds them, their traditions, their dishes, their spices, their out of the ordinary tastes.
It's a different dinner. I recommend it to everyone.

If you are in Modena and want to try something different, this restaurant is a stop I recommend! Nasser is undoubtedly a kind host who makes you feel at home, the courses are generous and although my tastes do not match the entire menu I must say that I liked everything I tried! Excellent Taijin, the beef sausages and Falafel are also good, the mint tea served at the end of the meal is delicious
