I don't understand why it's rated so low! Absolutely authentic, we used to have breakfast here every day, the best croissants in Naples with the best coffee. The waiters are very friendly. This is Naples, absolutely authentic.

I bought two pastries on display in the shop window this morning: a "cone" of curly puff pastry with Chantilly cream and strawberries that was good and a shortcrust pastry sfogliatella that I wasn't thrilled with (no candied fruit and not very tasty).

I went in without even checking the ratings to avoid the rain, but they were the most unfriendly Italians I have ever met. The coffee also came out differently from the picture.

Pizzeria Olio e Pomodoro doc

12/02/2026: We had a Margherita and a sausage and potatoes pizza, as you can see from the photos. But also a classic frittatina and two crocche. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the latter because I was so hungry, and they looked so good I didn't bother. But I can say they were delicious. As were the pizzas. The dough was lovely and soft. I highly recommend it. Next time, instead of taking out, we'll try going in, so we can also review the place and the service, as well as try other pizzas that are sure to be delicious.
