It's called a historic place...more than historic, it feels old. Luckily, we only had a macchiato and a macchiatone, prices normal for the historic center. However, we then added two classic gianduiotti chocolates, which we later discovered cost €7.50 for two. Definitely too much considering the place isn't much, the service is average, and as for the chocolates, they're nothing compared to the exquisite Lindt ones! I won't be going back, they're definitely showing off too much with these gianduiotti...even if they were made of gold!!!

I only had a coffee, but it wasn't great. 4 stars for the service and ambiance, but also because the desserts were really nice. Next time I'll try something else and update the review.

Roma già Talmone is my favorite bar in Turin, especially for the quality of its croissants and pastries, but also for lunch and aperitifs, thanks to its in-house kitchen and bakery. Recently renovated, the interior is much more welcoming and functional. In the summer, it's popular for its outdoor seating under the porticoes of Piazza Carlo Felice. The staff is very professional and friendly. The cappuccino and gelato are excellent. A bar that also makes a great gourmet gift.

A pleasant snack 🩷
The place wasn't too touristy, contrary to what we expected given its location, and this made the experience even more enjoyable. The prices are a bit high, but that's a constant everywhere these days, so it didn't ruin the experience.
The caramel espresso was perhaps a bit too sweet, while the gianduja cake was good and satisfying.
The service was friendly and fairly quick, especially considering it was a Sunday afternoon, when the crowds are inevitably higher and the service takes longer. Overall, a pleasant and relaxing stop, perfect for a sweet treat.

I expected more from a historic Turin establishment. The girls in the dining room were very kind, the only positive note. The hot chocolate is perhaps a little sweet, but still good. The cream, on the other hand, deserves a zero...even though it's unfortunately no longer in good company in Turin, from a place like this you'd expect "real" cream, not the spray-on kind. Especially not at €2 for the cream alone. Elsewhere, it's equally mediocre, but at least they charge 50 cents. In Piedmont, it's doubly disgraceful, especially in a pastry shop. The place's faded appearance and shabby decor have their charm, though they could be greatly improved. Prices are now in line only with the name, respectable but I'd say mistreated.

Four of us had lunch at this slightly retro restaurant. The staff was courteous and willing to accommodate us in a busy restaurant. The selection of dishes was limited, but those we sampled were well received. The pastries and coffee were excellent.
Prices are a little above average, but justified by the absolutely central location just a few meters from Porta Nuova Station.

A typical café/pastry shop located in the center of Turin. A well-equipped establishment, it offers a variety of pastries displayed in the window at the entrance, as well as cakes of all kinds. Prices are not cheap: €28 for two maritozzi, two coffees, three croissants, and a glass of water, with table service. The croissants are delicious, as is the coffee. I recommend a visit if you want to sample some of Turin's traditional products.
