Rolling Stone '72 In Aosta

03/01/2025: We stayed three days in this hotel. We didn't miss anything. Excellent food both at lunch with self service and in the evening with a choice of different course menus. Ample parking for guests and passers-by. Adjacent cross-country ski trail. Pedestrian path beaten by snowcats. Animals (dogs) allowed in the rooms. Attention: they cannot wander in the park or in the common areas. However, a short walk along the stream can be done!! Recommended wine from the Aosta Valley. Friendly staff. Excellent rooms and general cleanliness. Animals seen, fox, ibex, chamois and with a bit of.. ermine! Visit period is the first of the year. The hotel is not very crowded and you can enjoy all the tranquility necessary to recharge your batteries. Thank you for your hospitality and I will be back!

31/12/2024: Hotel with a high mountain restaurant (1960 m above sea level) that my wife and I have been frequenting for a few years. It is located in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park. There, the regional road from the Aosta valley ends in an alpine plateau surrounded by mountains of extraordinary beauty with the notable advantage that there are no ski lifts. In winter, you can go cross-country skiing. The hotel is equipped with all the comforts in the room. Quality breakfast in the morning, self-service for lunch, also available to non-hotel guests, dinner in a large and bright room. Adjacent to it, there is a large unattended car park. We have a great time and will certainly return. We usually go in the summer but this year even in the middle of winter: a wonderful experience! Excursions of various levels: from pleasant and comfortable walks, to climbs at high altitude on easy but more challenging and well-marked paths, up to the climb to the summit of Gran Paradiso, preferably with an expert guide. You will be accompanied by foxes, chamois, ibex, marmots and other animals in their natural state (if you consider yourself at home with them).
