07/08/2025: We went to the Roadhouse in Treviglio on a Saturday night, four friends and I, after a stressful and busy week. We really wanted to unwind over a nice dinner with friends. We arrived around 8:30 and the parking lot was practically full, but after a few searches we managed to find a spot. The place was crowded, but the welcome was quick and efficient: we were seated almost immediately and with great courtesy. We were immediately struck by the atmosphere: well-kept, warm, well-lit, with dark wood furnishings, an American steakhouse atmosphere but with a modern twist. Tables were well-spaced, good soundproofing, and we were able to talk without shouting despite the typical Saturday night commotion. We were also pleased to see such attention to cleanliness, not only at the tables but also in the bathrooms, which were tidy, stocked, and smelled fresh—a detail not always taken for granted.
The service throughout the dinner was simply perfect: attentive without being intrusive, the waiters stopped by several times to check on us, always with a smile, and explained some dishes in detail to help us choose. A special thanks goes to one waiter who recommended some off-menu options, including a portion of extra-glazed ribs with a slightly spicy sauce that were absolutely blasting. We started with a few appetizers to share: the chicken wings were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with a balanced, not-too-sweet BBQ sauce; the onion rings were well-fried, not greasy, and served hot; and the mini burgers immediately put us in the right mood: small but packed with flavor. The main courses confirmed my positive impressions: I had a burger with bacon, caramelized onion, and melted cheese, served with crispy, golden fries. The bun was thick and well-constructed, the meat flavorful and cooked to order. The others ordered the mixed grill, smoked ribs, and Texas brisket, and one of my friends had the pulled pork sandwich, and everyone was satisfied. The brisket in particular was tender and flavorful, perfectly smoked, and served on a rustic board that made a statement. No complaints about the portions, all generous but never overwhelming: just enough to leave feeling full and satisfied without feeling heavy.
The beers were also good, well-tasted, fresh, and served with a smile and always on time, which we appreciated because service in these places often slows down as the crowds increase, but here they were always on point. The evening proceeded smoothly, with a perfect pace: we never waited too long between courses, nor did we feel pressured to vacate the table. Toward the end, even though we were full, we were persuaded to order dessert: I had the classic warm brownie with ice cream, a real treat, melted chocolate on the inside, slightly crunchy on the outside, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a chocolate topping. The others tried the cheesecake, tiramisu, and Oreo milkshake: all passed with flying colors, beautifully presented desserts, generous portions, and balanced flavors. Dessert capped off a dinner that maintained consistent quality from start to finish.
We paid around 30 euros each, including a shared appetizer, main course, dessert, and beer. Considering the portions, quality, service, and ambiance, the value for money is absolutely fair, if not downright convenient. In an era where restaurants are either expensive or disappointing, finding a place like this, where you spend the right amount and eat well, makes all the difference. It's a perfect place for dinner with friends, but I can also see it being a great option for families with children or couples looking for meat in a casual yet refined setting. I'll definitely be back, perhaps during the week to enjoy the atmosphere.
