Drinking a cocktail on the grand canal. Movie-like experience.

I recently visited Bar Longhi and sat outside in Venice and had a rather mixed experience, which is why I'm giving it three stars. On the positive side, their special cocktail of the time was delightful and almost made me want to give an extra star. The interior and exterior of the bar are quite beautiful, and the seating is very comfortable. However, there were some downsides. The bar is quite expensive, and I didn't feel that the experience fully justified the high prices. Additionally, the outdoor area has a bit of a pigeon problem. Several pigeons got close and one landed on me during my visit, which was quite disruptive, although I must admit that being given a toy water gun to shoot them away was a fun touch. Though that might be an indication that it is a common issue. Another issue for me was the noise level. The bar is located in a busy area with boats passing by, making it quite loud. While Bar Longhi does its best to provide a pleasant experience, these issues detracted from my enjoyment. Also - I find the Cannaregio area in Venice to be a better choice as it offers similar quality drinks and canal view in a quieter and more affordable setting. Overall, despite their efforts, I can only give three stars.

We had a drink in this bar, incredible experience with 5 star service! An aperitif tray is served to you with your cocktails, the olives are excellent! The view is splendid, everything was perfect Expect between 25 and 30 euros per cocktail, but the setting and service are well worth that!

Located on the Grand Canal in the Gritti Palace Hotel, this bar is a great place to relax and enjoy the views before dinner or after a day of touring. The drinks are expensive but well worth the price as the service and views are top notch. Plus the bar snacks brought to the table compliment the beverages well. The occasional surprise canapes were delicious and welcomed.

Great service and food, however a bit overpriced in my opinion 🙄. 12 eur per person for cutlery, just to sit 4 of us paied 50 eur. I understand we paied also the location, but still... All in all I wouldn mind go again, since the stuff was very helpfull and kind. Food quality was also very good, and with Carbonara we went off menu which was not a problem ❤️. Big thanks for hospitality 🇮🇹

It's a really nice place with an awesome view to the canal. We only wanted a place to chill for a bit, and we were very welcomed.

It was ok, nothing special as always: Overpriced for a nice view without much quality. You don't have to go without missing something.

Outstanding experience. It is all about the location. Incredible views alongside the Grand Canal at sundown. Ambience is yacht chic. Drinks delicious. Not large and indeed they are expensive. But this is about the experience not about finding a bargain cocktail. Complementary nibbles including olives, nuts and crisps. Nice group of locals and touristas. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend for a Venetian “must do.”
