Good food at a reasonable price. It's right next to the lake parking lot. The crostatta was a bit dry but had a good flavor.

The Rifugio Ristoro Monte Scale is an excellent stop for those visiting the Cancano Lakes and the Fraele Towers. The atmosphere is simple, with a beautiful panoramic terrace offering a beautiful view of the valley. The restaurant offers typical Valtellina dishes, authentic and well-prepared, with generous portions and average prices for the area. The service is friendly, making the stop pleasant. A good place to stop for those seeking a break surrounded by nature, tranquility, and local flavors. The starting point for the Cancano Lakes: just outside, in front of the A2A building, you can take the shuttle to the Val Fraele refuge for €2. From there, you can also take other shuttles to easily tour the lakes. Alternatively, you can walk. A positive experience!

Clean and welcoming place. Extremely friendly service. Excellent food (the pizzoccheri are delicious). I would have liked to see a few more dishes besides polenta and mushrooms for non-omnivorous diets.

Good place, I recommend reasonable prices

We passed through here during our 27th stage of the Sentiero Italia from Bormio to the Alpe Mine refuge. We had a great breakfast to fuel our efforts for the 42km planned route. Thanks for your hospitality. @Libero_Sentiero.
