Beautiful location in Piazza della Signoria, eating outside with the old building in front and the fountain is suggestive, but even in winter the place inside is very well looked after. Typical Tuscan food done well, the tartare is excellent and I recommend it. Obviously a wide and excellent choice of wines. The service of the waiters is always impeccable.

Frescobaldi is our go to place when visiting Florence. A great ambiance, views of Piazza della Signoria and outstanding service are just part of the reason we are repeat guests. Add to that the amazing food, the many options both fish and meat lovers, the top quality, Frescobaldi driven wine list, at extremely reasonable prices, and it becomes clear why this is our restaurant of choice locally. Do yourself a favor, avoid the numerous tourist traps in the area and head to Frescobaldi!

Degna conclusione per festeggiare la laurea di mia figlia. Posizione….piazza della Signoria…sala esclusiva….ottimo menù a base di pesce accompagnato dagli ottimi vini dell’omonima casa vitivinicola….servizio impeccabile. Dopo tre anni siamo rientrati a casa con la promessa di ritornarci

23/12/2024: Company lunch based on fish, excellent seafood risotto, delicious spaghetti with seafood, exceptional mixed omelette.
15/11/2024: A risotto with prawns, leeks and porcini mushrooms worthy of the best restaurants... and yet I was only on my lunch break. Accurate service... they supplied me with hot flat bread even for the last forkful of risotto. Well done

01/06/2025: If you're anywhere near Borgo San Lorenzo, “La Pentolaccia” is an absolute must. I came here based on a local recommendation, and it exceeded every expectation. The star of the evening was the tagliata ai funghi porcini – perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth beef paired with incredibly fragrant, seasonal porcini mushrooms. The balance of flavors was divine, with every bite capturing the heart of Tuscan cuisine. Simple, honest, and utterly delicious. But what truly sets this place apart is the service. Warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. From the moment we walked in, we felt like welcome guests rather than customers. The staff was knowledgeable and happy to guide us through the menu, making the experience feel both personal and special.
02/05/2025: Excellent discovery after years of not passing through Sagginale....we came for Giorgione's tortello, but at Pentolaccia you will find equally good and plentiful tortelli....and fair prices!
