I went to play tennis on the day of arrival to get rid of jet lag. Hotel concierge staff arranged everything for me. It is perfect and I am relaxed after the exercise and lovely dinner. Now heading to 🛌

Hotel Gran Miramare is a 1903 art nouveau building across the road from the beach, this upscale hotel has views of the Ligurian Sea and is also 3.2 miles walk from Portofino. Part of the walk is an elevated hiking trail with incredible views in a tree canopy. I highly recommend the walk. You can take a taxi back easily from Portofino. The taxi is high $$. We chose to enjoy an apertivo and walked back. Our rooms had beautiful hard wood floors and chandeliers, plus Wi-Fi and satellite TV with a sea view. Room service is available. There's an elegant restaurant with frescoes and a terrace for the amazing breakfast buffet. Don't forget to go to the piano bar. Incredible cocktails and exceptional service. The saltwater pool was refreshing after a day exploring Portofino. I highly recommend Grand Hotel Miramare.

This is a wonderful hotel. The location is ideal for the harbour, restaurants and is close enough to walk to Portofino if you are able bodied and enjoy a very pleasant walk. The pool is beautiful and clean and the pool attendant extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel is set in splendid gardens and they are very well kept. The rooms are lovely, spacious and elegant. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that we had some very loud people in the room above on our last night and it did disturb us. The hard floors probably exacerbated the noise transmission so it probably wasn't just their loud voices and stamping around to blame. The elegance of this hotel is evident at first glance. However for us the outstanding feature which would bring us back is the amazing warmth and attentiveness of the staff. All the staff were great but I would like to specifically praise the staff on reception and the guys who welcome you to the hotel and deal with your luggage. First class.

If you are thinking of visiting this hotel Just book it - you won’t be disappointed!! We are on the next leg of our trip in a different part of Italy and still talking about our experience and the wonderful staff at this property. There’s not enough good things we can say about the team especially. From check in to meals, bar service, housekeeping, everyone was so friendly and hospitable and made us feel valued as a guest and like a home away from home. Some stand outs to recognize are Mattia with the evening bar service who recommended great drinks and wine and chatted with us, Luigi who was our favorite server at breakfast! And Alfonso who was our server for lunch by the pool. All three of these gentleman are spectacular at their job. The property itself is kept so clean and neat, Walking distance to great restaurants, gelato, and the cutest town to walk around. Was also easy to get a taxi or to nearby towns since the train station is walking distance away. Our family cannot wait to come back! Thank you for such great memories Grand Hotel Miramare!
