A peaceful place to spend your holidays, the staff is exquisite and very knowledgeable, needless to say that the exclusivity of staying in a villa has its charm... I'm surprised it's not a 4 star. Dinner on the terrace is the icing on the cake. Imperial breakfast that ranks at the top. Highly recommended

Stunning location and really friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are neat and clean, the common areas are beautiful. Relaxing pool with a crazy view. Nothing to say, even the aperitif was good.

Very nice villa from 19th century. Perfect Tuscan climate. It is located on the hill and offers great views on the olive forests, sunflower fields and sunsets. All staff is very nice and helpful, especially the manager. Breakfasts and lunches are truly tasty and composed of good quality products. Rooms are clean and comfortable, AC works fine. There is more than enough parking space. The area is safe and you can get somenrest from crowds.

Great option on the way to Assisi. We were very well looked after. Complete and tasty breakfast. Pet friendly. There is parking. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were clean and spacious. Lush landscape. I recommend.

Classic style hotel near Cortona we stayed 6 nights on an Epicurean tour. The staff was great. Plus the owner Aleen is a wine expert so they have great choices. The only small issue was the shower size. Maybe that we had a set good menu for dinner, but likely Epicurean pick not thr staff. If you plan on going to tuscany this was a great choice

Easter weekend spent in a splendid, well-kept and above all very clean location. Polite, friendly staff, always smiling and attentive to the guest's needs. Highly recommended.

05/08/2024: Lunch on a very hot summer Sunday. A nice motorbike ride and lunch at Sottobosco to find some refreshment. Mission accomplished. With great satisfaction. Il Sottobosco never betrays expectations. Pleasant location, ennobled by the presence of numerous parked motorbikes: always a nice sight. Then the novelty (for us) of the menu to be split. Excellent idea, which we immediately took advantage of. Great menu of the undergrowth, which would be impossible for us humans to manage, in fair portions to reach the end, even if full. All very well. Appetizers and first courses in particular, but the rest was no joke either. Pleasant and lively service, with care in the description of the dishes, which is not common in trattorias in our area. Well done! Fair expense. On Sundays, booking is a very smart precaution. Then they are fast and they find a "hole"... but better not to take risks.

19/07/2024: Restaurant visit: Excellent in every respect. Any further comment is unnecessary.
25/05/2024: Tranquil resort with an exceptional chef and sumptuous breakfasts. Why haven’t I reviewed before? Because it’s one of those places you want to selfishly keep close to your heart. This is our 5th visit and now it feels like coming home. The entire staff, along with the family owners, make you feel as if you belong here. You’re so close to everything yet a million miles away.
