Ristorante Vela In

After many years, we returned to Moneglia for a tour and by chance we stopped to eat at this restaurant. We were immediately greeted with a smile (which is not a given), so what can I say? Excellent food, very fresh fish, kindness, friendliness, speed, and good value for money... plus, we were in the middle of two tables of very pleasant older people, with whom we chatted the whole time 🥰 We ordered 2 seafood appetizers, 2 seafood risottos, 2 tiramisu, 2 coffees and they offered us limoncino, spending 45.00 each. ALL DELICIOUS. Highly recommended. We will be back 🔝

Definitely worth going for seafood and great paired wine

On the recommendation of the lady who rented us the room, we went to this truly delicious seafood restaurant. We had spaghetti allo scoglio vela, very fresh and with fantastic flavor. A mixed fried anchovy platter was excellent, and a mixed grill of fish was amazing. We really enjoyed it, especially the kind and attentive staff. Finally, I was surprised by the divine amaro al pruno liqueur, the prices were reasonable, and I was truly satisfied.

Introduction: It was a gloomy day. We decided not to go to the beach but to visit towns: after a morning trip to Sestri Levante, we opted to stop in Moneglia for lunch and a walk on the way back. We were looking for a restaurant for lunch, and LA VELA was the perfect choice. We called to reserve a table, and the guy very kindly suggested we sit inside given the deteriorating weather: a small room with soft lighting. They mainly have space on the summer veranda. A restaurant in the heart of the town's historic center, which is also worth a visit, even just for a stroll. The service was quick, both in taking orders and serving dishes, and attentive and meticulous. The portions were normal - great value for money. The staff is kind, smiling, and courteous, just the way I like it: in addition to good food and good service, it's an added bonus to have staff who welcome you and always introduce themselves with a smile. 🙂 It puts me in a good mood. ☺️ I still believe that kindness equals kindness. 💕 Prices were reasonable. We had a mixed fried fish, fried calamari, a seafood platter, a French fry, a still water, a liter of house white wine, two coffees, and a grappa = €99 for three. If we happen to be in the area again, we'll definitely consider it. 😊 PS - unfortunately, I didn't take photos because we were too hungry.

We've had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Vela on several occasions, and the experience has always been extremely positive. The quality of the food is excellent, and the service is quick and efficient. The staff, including the waiters, have always been courteous, attentive, and helpful. I highly recommend it!

We ate well, we were served quickly, with a smile from the staff. Very good fish. Quality tiramisu... I recommend it.

The restaurant was really good. The seafood ravioli were very, very good! Recommended.

The food is very tasty, the staff is friendly! Advice: change the plates, out of 5 plates, 4 were damaged😉

Eccellente cibo fatto bene secondo la tradizione ligure. Ottimi i vini offerti. Secondi pesce fresco buoni e fatti bene. Il personale è disponibile e ti fa sentire a casa. Ve lo consiglio.

Piatti squisiti e personale gentilissimo. Il menù offre piatti tipici della cucina ligure, ma non solo. Altamente consigliato! Cordiali saluti da Zurigo.
