This place used to be in the Osterie d’Italia guide until 2024. I perfectly understand why it was removed from the 2025 edition. Food is ok, but service was very deficient. No explanation about what to eat, they just assumed we wanted the full menu and started bringing food. It took us almost three hours to have dinner, there was a very long interval between dishes. They did not offer any drinks or wine. Place was almost empty, except for an extremely noisy group of foreigners. The fact that no Italian was eating in the place on Thursday night should have been a dead giveaway, but we thought it was because we were there at 8. Will never come here again. One good point: an unforgettable eggplant carpaccio.

The torronata and tartare were fantastic, the other things were neither good nor bad. The wine seemed too expensive for the quality I drank.

A splendid day, lunch served outdoors in the garden overlooking the Monferrato. Excellent appetizers, very good first courses, gourmet second courses, desserts that pamper you even with the delicious nougat! The chef is excellent, the service is excellent and the good choice of wines completes the celebration

16/05/2025: Aperto il 22 marzo 2005 dagli attuali proprietari. Ampio parcheggio riservato dietro la chiesa di Nostra Signora del Carmine. La prima sala dispone di 10 coperti, 22 la seconda. Chef Barbara Franzin; in sala il marito Franco Stranieri. Piacevole musica pop soft degli anni '80 e '90 in sottofondo; la cena: Vino: - Colli Tortonesi "Terre di Libarna" Spumante Brut DOC "Lüsarein" da uve Timorasso 100% Metodo Martinotti az. Ezio Poggio. Pane bianco, pane integrale, pane ai 7 cereali e focaccia tutto maison. ANTIPASTI: - antipasto degustazione (battuta di Scottona con insalatina e grana a scaglie - tortino con farina integrale, patate, caciocavallo e prosciutto - flan di Parmigiano con vellutata di peperoni e cialda al Parmigiano - insalata russa). - pesce spada affumicato con pomodorini e olive taggiasche. PRIMI: - paccheri di Gragnano calamaretti, pomodorini e olive taggiasche. - ravioli di borragine con fonduta di Montebore e tartufo nero. DESSERT: - bavarese agli agrumi con frutti di bosco. - torta di mele e nocciole con gelato. Caffè a chiudere. La bella carta dei vini presenta 45 etichette. Non è previsto il menù degustazione; à la carte 5 antipasti da 9 a 14€; 5 primi da 12 a 15€; 4 secondi da 12 a16€, "sottofiletto alla griglia con verdure grigliate" a 20€, "degustazione di formaggi" a 11€; 3 contorni da 5 a 7€; 7 dessert a 7€, "degustazione dolci" a 9€; è tutto consultabile nel sito web, solo alcune piccole differenze; pane e grissini anche per celiaci e, su richiesta, menù per celiaci e vegetariani. A novembre, per il 45° Tour Gastronomico Valli Borbera e Spinti, sono previste due serate, il 14 "Stoccafisso e Baccalà" e il 21 "Serata Bollito". 07/05/2025: Si,questo locale è una sicurezza,non si sbaglia a sceglierlo. Ottimo ambiente e personale gentilissimo. Il menù è invitante in tutte le portate. Scelto i ravioli di boraggine con fonduta di montebore e tartufo...speciali. Ottimi I dolci

Green Eat

10/09/2025: Welcoming and spacious place, friendly and helpful staff, fair prices, not too high for what they offer. Very good gourmet pizza, but they also offer cooked meals. Disabled friendly. Well-behaved children are welcome. Ample parking. Highly recommended.
03/09/2025: Green Eat – Restaurant and Pizzeria in Tortona We visited Green Eat in August 2025 for dinner, returning from a day trip. The restaurant is located behind the Tortona Iper supermarket, easily accessible and with convenient parking. The atmosphere is informal, tastefully decorated, and there's plenty of seating: ideal for a dinner with friends or family. The service was efficient, with young and friendly staff. Despite 80% of the tables being occupied, the wait was about 30 minutes. We tried the veggie burger served with fries and several classic (not Neapolitan) pizzas. The dishes were simple but tasty, in line with expectations. ✅ Strengths: friendly staff, clean environment (including bathrooms), varied menu with options for different dietary needs. ⚠️ Areas for improvement: it would be helpful to better highlight the vegetarian dishes, add a few more entrees, and reduce the noise level a bit. 👉 Recommended for an informal dinner in Tortona, perhaps before the cinema or after a soccer game.
