I’ve had two fantastic meals here. Each 15 years apart. The owner must have changed but the experience was still fantastic. A really great option for a special meal at decent prices. Some inventive takes on classic Italian dishes.

A typical restaurant, away from the tourist crowds. A magnificent open kitchen allowing us to watch the chefs cook. I recommend the spaghetti "alla chiantigiana" which is truly excellent! It's been a long time since I've been so enthusiastic about a pasta dish.

Stunning . Classy . Rustic authentic Tuscan .
Was exploring Florence and spontaneously chose this one , after looking at the menu on the street .
Mura our waitress was a gem and super sweet . Service was attentive but not pushy .
Gorgeous presentation of the plates we ordered . The Caesar was unconventional with with mayonaise in the salad , and was delicious .
The sausage with white beans was super simple but perfectly balanced , and the rigitoni with gluten free pasta and crispy bacon was delectable and so umami !
It was a beautiful dinner and the standard of food matched my high expectations .

The staff was rather disinterested, more concerned with chatting with colleagues than taking care of the guests. The starter was ok, the main course (two different pasta dishes) was too salty. When a waiter cleared the half-eaten plates (we were hungry) and disinterestedly asked if everything was OK, we replied that it was too salty. There was no answer to that, just a smile and a shrug of the shoulders and a few minutes later we were offered the dessert menu. Since the reviews are otherwise good, we were probably unlucky on the evening of our visit.

Picturesque and elegant place, with very kind staff. The food was excellent, for those who want to taste the real Florentine cuisine they must go to this restaurant!

Had a little break from pasta, fried polenta to start was great , first time I've enjoyed polenta after many times of trying. Ossobuco just fell of the bone and bean stew had a lovely depth of flavour. A really decent little place.

Perfect place, I HIGHLY recommend the "tagliatona alla fiorentina" and the "crepes with grand marnier". I think the best I've eaten in Florence, without words.

E’ una tappa obbligata per noi a Firenze, ormai ci conoscono, ed ogni volta restiamo entusiasti. Il cibo e’ superlativo, i camerieri sono gentilissimi e l’atmosfera è calda ed accogliente. La cucina a vista inoltre è garanzia di pulizia e maestria dei cuochi. Fantastico tutto.

Ci è stato (curiosamente) consigliato dal ristorante 4 leoni, in cui eravamo andati ma era strapieno a qualsiasi orario.
Ci siamo trovati molto bene.
Piatti della tradizione fiorentina, con buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.
Servizio cortese, con le giuste tempistiche.
Buona carta dei vini.
