Ristorante Taverna Verde In Serrara fontana

There are several restaurants in the upper part of Ischia, all of which more or less follow the same menu, but each with its own personality. The location is stuck in the '70s, the service professional and courteous. The vegetable appetizer, in my opinion, had too much vinegar, the homemade crocche (normal), the ricotta-stuffed courgette flowers with a hint of lemon (well done, great idea), the bucatini with rabbit, of the highest quality (the fresh piperna added to the dish is a plus), the rabbit served in a coccio (an earthenware dish) is a real taste sensation, and to finish, a truly homemade piperna amaro... it rounds out an Ischian dinner with a very high level of personality. Well done!! Oh, I forgot about the house wine... it needs improving.

Very overrated we spent a lot but got little

Welcome to the kingdom of the Ischian rabbit. Nice place with a good view of the road to reach Mount Epomeo, with very helpful and courteous staff. A must if you want to try the specialties of the Ischian land cuisine. Reservations are highly recommended. The food preparations are fantastic: fettuccine with rabbit sauce and rabbit in a pot, 10 out of 10 (a specialty from the 70s for this restaurant) but the appetizers and desserts are also very, very good. Accompany everything with wine and peaches and you will leave more than satisfied.

Highly recommended restaurant!!! All genuine food, simple but excellent cuisine, with Ischian specialties, in particular the "rabbit all'ischitana". Very kind staff and efficient service, welcoming environment, you feel at home. We will stay in Ischia another three days so we will definitely return for dinner!!!

A great place to visit in Ischia. Totally matches the reviews and ratings. Friendly and pleasant owners, pleasant service. High quality dishes. Prices are very reasonable, slightly above average, but consistent with the quality. The place is popular, we came at the opening, without a reservation and there were a couple of tables free. It is very easy to get there from Forio by bus CS.
