Our first meal in Rome this time. It was confusing because I thought I made a reservation at Sughero, but this restaurant took over about 6 months ago and I guess just took over the name for review purposes. The food is creative Italian, not your standard fare, but more like riffs on standard Italian food. Very upscale food (and upscale prices for portion size), but for us it was worth the splurge for excellent food. The owner and server were very nice and accommodating.

Wonderful food, small family-owned establishment. Intimate dining experience with lovely service and a delicious seasonal menu. Highly recommend the fettuccine with guancale, artichoke, and mint.

QUALITY PLACE
I'll say right away that the right rating was 3 and a half stars (which is not allowed) but I understood that the very kind and helpful owner would have accepted some constructive notes.
We start with Cod Croquettes (Good, Well Fried but Average) and an Excellent Giudia Artichoke (how it should be done: Fried Twice, Tender Heart and Crispy Leaves).
Followed by a well-balanced Gricia and a Roman cod (done as it should but slightly towards delicate).
To finish, a tart with 10/10 Homemade Mandarin Jam (Shortcrust Pastry Too Soft) and a Real Amaro from Bormio.
Small, intelligent and above all honest wine list. Bread for me Not up to par.
With good Lazio wine and water €90 for two people. A tad bit tall...
Recommended though!

Excellent Roman evening, good and tasty dishes. Intimate and nice atmosphere. An exceptional Giudia-style artichoke and Roman tripe. An extra step is the owner who with his service excels in welcoming and managing guests. The Venetians.

Very clean and welcoming place, with friendly and knowledgeable staff..excellent cuisine.. Among the excellent things I took, my favorites were the excellent Genoese ravioli with thyme butter and pink pepper.. I highly recommend it to everyone

Reopening in style for this restaurant which is experiencing a new phase thanks to the wise guidance of Chef Baroni, who has finally returned to Rome.
Tradition with a touch of personality, as a chef who is never banal, but always ideal, loves to propose!
