You expect way more when you’re paying a Michelin star price. The waiter was extremely nice (service is on point) and the terrace is very beautiful. But paying 140 euros for a tasting menu that is nothing extraordinary, seems a little bit excessive (20 euros for an aperol spritz). I understand the prices in Como are high, but for the same price you can eat at most Michelin awarded restaurants in the area. Out of the 7 courses, three were mediocre (at best), two were interesting and two were extraordinary.

The view from the terrace is beautiful, which unfortunately is very small and only accommodates two tables. The environment is quite nice, the seats are a little uncomfortable.
I really appreciated the professionalism and friendliness of the very knowledgeable maitre, and the wines he offered us to pair with the dishes. In general the service is excellent.
The welcome courses were excellent, but the other dishes didn't convince me; very complex in flavours, they were difficult for me to digest. Overall in my opinion the experience is not worth the price.

One of the best Italian restaurants, the location is amazing, and the most beautiful view in Como, and their food is delicious pasta, risotto, and baked goods, and their distinguished service, for which the entire staff thanks, and it is definitely worth a visit.. 👏

Everything was literally incredible.
We had "the experience" tasting menu and it was gorgeous. The food was delicious, the service was just perfect. The whole atmosphere is very chill but premium at the same time.
It was worth every cent, and I'd certainly experience it again.

This is the second time I've tried this restaurant. The food is of excellent quality, with good levels of technique and experimentation, but this does not justify the high prices. I have experience with similar restaurants and am willing to spend for quality, but 60 euros for a pigeon or sturgeon main course or 45 euros for a vegetarian main course seems really excessive to me.
I understand that perhaps the target is not the people who live in Como but the very rich tourists who invade the city, and the prices are calibrated based on this.
The location is very beautiful, with an enchanting view.
The service was friendly, but I didn't appreciate the familiarity and insistence of the dining room staff in wanting to know why I didn't want to drink alcohol that evening. There are many reasons why a person may choose not to drink alcohol, all of which are personal and not necessarily to be shared with strangers. Perhaps, seeing two locals among so many tourists, the staff felt more relaxed and inclined to lower barriers, but I felt uncomfortable having to explain my choice.
I don't give 5 stars for these reasons but I would recommend this place in any case.

INCREDIBLE experience! We only had a couple hours in como and every minute was worth it! A MUST try for authentic and unique food! The service from Dario was top notch and he made us feel so special!

We were so pleasantly surprised by our experience at Sottovoce. We had eaten at Kitchen the night prior and IMO, Sottovoce was better in every regard, especially the service and creative and delicious food. This restaurant is deserving of a Michelin star. Cocktails were fantastic as well. There is a tasting menu and a la carte menu available. Definitely eat here if you’re staying at Vista Palazzo, but also even if you’re not and you’re in the area!

Incredible! The most amazing meal we’ve had in Como so far. We had the 7 course tasting menu but actually it’s 10 courses with extra wine too! The food was absolutely delicious, I can’t even explain how good it was. We had such a great variety of dishes from ice cream cheese, amazing trout and catfish, deer tartare, beautifully cooked lamb and refreshing orange desert. Nothing at all to fault here, every dish was 11/10 and the same to our fantastic waiter too. I didn’t get his name unfortunately but he was excellent. Very chatty and friendly, basically our own private waiter for the afternoon! He completed the experience for us. Loved this restaurant and would highly recommend. And incredible views of the lake too!
