Very nice place found randomly! And what a good one! Food was very good and tasty. You can feel the search behind the dish. We found it very tasty. The waitress, Fiona, was lovely and gave very good advices as well. The sommelier helped as well to pair the best wine to our meal. One of the rare restaurants in Venice which is not purely for tourists Very good experience for us and we would come back with pleasure.

We had a wonderful evening with special wine pairings and surprising combinations of the finest Venetian and Italian dishes! A meal or simply a delicious pasta dish with delicious fish! We were made welcome and learned a lot about Italian wine. Thank you, Matteo, for the wonderful evening.

My wife and I had an amazing time at Sestante. They offered a 5 course tasting menu with alcoholic and non alcoholic pairings, I got the wine pairing and my wife got the non alcoholic pairing. The wine pairing was amazing. But her non alcoholic pairing was yet more impressive! They really thought about it and it was both delicious and paired well with each course. Every course was so good. The main dish was monkfish two ways and the fritter was mind blowing. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. So worth the walk from our tour of St Mark and the Doge's palace.

Everything is perfect! Fiona, the waitress, does her job with professionalism and passion. The cuisine is refined and exquisite. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We will return next year during our next visit to Venice.

Wow—this place is next-level! Every dish looked like art and tasted even better. The escargots were buttery and rich, the filet mignon melted in my mouth, and the dessert? A heavenly chocolate soufflé. Staff were super attentive and made great wine recommendations. Pricey, yes—but totally worth it for a special night out.

But what a wonderful surprise! Inventive, tasty, very well-balanced cuisine, with good quantities, and at reasonable prices! A great wine list with some great discoveries to be made, a beautiful setting, and very friendly service! We will be happy to come back!

Our second and last day in Venice, we also decided to end up in this wine bar. Again, we had the best wine experience we could have imagine. You should go to Venice for this bar!!!

The food at this restaurant is genuinely excellent — flavorful, well-prepared, and nicely presented. However, the experience was completely overshadowed by the incredibly rude and toxic behavior of the staff. From the start, the staff was unfriendly and dismissive. When we asked for the bill and then requested coffee afterward, the waiter snapped, “Do you want the bill or the coffee?” — as if we couldn’t have both. When we tried to pay with euros and needed change, the response was, “Let me see what I can do,” in a tone that made it clear we were an inconvenience. The overall service was unwelcoming and made us feel uncomfortable throughout our meal. It’s unfortunate because the food has real potential, but the portions were small and overpriced. We ended up eating all the bread just to feel full. In short: great food, but the staff’s attitude ruined the experience. We won’t be returning.
