Attention to local producers, impeccable service, exquisite food

High price for what we ate. Good dishes, but not unforgettable.

We had lunch here on Sunday. The food was original, the location was unique, and the service was impeccable.

Dinner for two. We're from Bergamo, and since we wanted to eat somewhere nice and try typical local food, we chose San Michele. We were immediately struck by the strong personality of the setting, the refined and creative furnishings and details. Excellent and refined cuisine, extremely kind and welcoming staff. You can tell you have a lot of love for what you do. Well done!!!

A couple's dinner in an intimate and very refined setting, with attention to detail immediately apparent, including the table service (the designer glasses are beautiful). Gianfranco, the owner, welcomes us by introducing himself and shaking our hands. He then sits us down and explains each dish on the menu in detail, explanations that exude passion for his work and attention to the raw materials. We order and ask for two glasses, trusting his advice. He brings us a bottle of Syrah from a producer he works with, very pleasant. And then he offers us a truly exceptional Barbaresco. We order two dishes each, and a dessert that we share. The service is always attentive but not intrusive, and everything is delicious. The price is absolutely fair and in line with the overall quality. This place (and its owner) are a little gem of a restaurant like few others, and I wish them a long life. We will definitely be back.

Honestly amazing. We stumbled upon this little place by chance, during a stop in Avigliana. What can I say?! The best fried porcini mushrooms I've ever had. The mushrooms were delicious, and so was the breading. The mushroom risotto was also truly delicious. Highly recommended.

Well done Gianfranco! We ate and drank well. Superb value for money!
