Ambrosini? Always full. Bistro? He got tired. The abrupt? Slam to go up. In short, we were looking for a new place. Something fresh. We went to San Carlo, the former "Stua". What can I say? I had a great time. Excellent pizza. Remarkable grill. Well done vegetable side dishes. My son loved the pasta with meat sauce. The stewed shank was delicious. I don't know about the wine because we didn't have it, but the beer was well poured and well made.
Children are welcome and they provide a nice pack of markers so they can color on the paper placemat.
In short... after being there on Saturday evening we returned on Sunday evening before leaving.
Next weekend we'll test them on pizzoccheri.......... something classic!

I loved it. Nice place and great food. The only advice I would give is to increase and indicate plant-based options so as to make the experience more welcoming for those who follow this type of diet. Possibly, the possibility of making some dishes vegan (e.g. pizzoccheri) could also be indicated. In my opinion, these types of touches on the menu would elevate an already very distinguished place.

New generation does not make us regret that of our fathers. Excellent local dishes in a modern version to also satisfy the eye. Renovated premises. For those passing through Valtellina it is indispensable.

We chose to spend New Year's Eve at the Wine Hotel San Carlo Relais & SPA for the convenience of having everything in one building.
We were delighted by the dinner offered by the San Carlo Restaurant, dishes that surprised us and we could even say excited us!
The staff was elegant, friendly, respectful but still approachable, starting with one of the owners, Mr. Carlo, whom I particularly thank, we felt at home.

Menù della tradizione che strizza l’occhio anche a piatti più particolari.
Sempre molto interessante il menù del giorno.
Lista vini completa ed, aspetto molto interessante, ordinata per distanza dal ristorante stesso.
Su richiesta è possibile visitare la loro cantina nel seminterrato, un gioiellino.
