We absolutely loved it!! The bruschetta were sublime. We tried the fresh pasta with truffles, mushrooms, and pepper: all three were excellent. We finished with the tiramisu, and it was truly delicious. Highly recommended! The welcome and service were impeccable.

I've had lunch and dinner there many times in 15 years. Always, always delicious. The last time, they even had fresh porcini mushrooms. Delicious, straight from the grill. Everything was as good as ever. Unfortunately, these days, the waitress is less friendly. Unfortunately, that's how it is. I don't know why. I've had her three times, but it's always the same. Everyone else was always smiling, kind, and had suggestions for the menu. I still hope they change! I gladly gave 5 stars for the menu, food, location, and especially for the chef, who isn't from Siena, and for the very kind manager.

Traditional cuisine, just like home and better than at home. A must-go!

A place that tastes like Siena I love finding places like this, just steps from the Campo, where you can still breathe the atmosphere of an old-fashioned osteria. I've been there several times over the years and have never been disappointed. Some reviews complain about the portions and the prices being too high, but you pay for quality. I had an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses that was high-quality, home-grown stuff you can taste. The first courses are always a pleasure, but it's the meat that really shines: tender, melt-in-your-mouth, cooked just right. The atmosphere is just right, without a lot of unnecessary chit-chat. And the guys who work there are quick, they make you feel at home, with service that many places can only dream of. Maybe once I found a bit of a mess, and the portions seemed a bit smaller, but the quality is undeniable. In short, a place with substance, where you eat well and are happy to return.

We were at the restaurant in August. It has a terrace on a central street and is quite small inside, but they arranged our table for 14 people. The service and hospitality were exceptional. There's even a waiter (I don't remember if he's the owner's son) who speaks Spanish. The food was delicious. They were very kind enough to prepare the pasta with a different sauce not on the menu for some children. We had a celiac patient with us, and they were extremely considerate, and they were able to choose from several dishes. The experience was very good, and we were right in the city center. If you're visiting Siena, you can't miss it.

Walked up about 1915 and asked for a table outside (inside kinda smelt funny). Got a table, gave menus and forgot us. Literally. Waiter hugely apologetic once he realised. I wanted to try local dishes which is why we picked here, most not available. Ok. Food came. Nice enough but not great. Used the bathroom. I’m so over no toilet seat and/or no toilet paper here in Italy. Seriously, how difficult is it? We had 2 mains, 1 salad, 2 x 1/2 litre wine and 1 dessert and water €60. Value???? Tasted ok but not fabulous compared to previous nights dinner. Yes we chose to sit outside bcoz inside was stuffy and smelt odd. But then we had to contend with outside traffic and smokers. Mmmm

In addition to the impeccable service and very friendly staff, the food was really good, the cold cuts and cheese platter was exquisite and the pici were delicious!! We will definitely be back!

L'Osteria dei Rossi is located in the historic center, just minutes from Piazza di Campo. It specializes in Tuscan cuisine. I dined here all four nights of my stay in Siena, and I can say I was very satisfied. The Tuscan cuisine is full of flavor and well-prepared, prepared with love. I enjoyed every single one of them. Many thanks to the wait staff, who are professional and charming, and make you feel right at home. Thank you, Manuele, for your attention and suggestions, and to the kitchen staff.
