Very nice restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere and particularly good food! From start to finish everything is always perfect. The service is very attentive and friendly. Chef Sandro is a true gem and his dedication makes Rio Argento the gem it is. We have enjoyed coming here for years!

As a worker in the restaurant sector, I was very surprised by the Rio Argento restaurant... Magical location surrounded by greenery and the splendid Julian Pre-Alps; the trout-based dishes and seasonal risotto are recommended for vegetarians. Friendly, fast service and to expectations. The visit is highly recommended.

One of the best family-run restaurants you will ever have a chance to visit. I am relatively new to the restaurant but I immediately felt welcomed and cared for. I visited the location with my soon-to-be wife Dina and my extended family Franz who have known Sandro for many years. Sandro and team made me feel very comfortable and I will visit this place forever now. I have eaten around the world but this restaurant is absolutely top class. Such fresh ingredients and new menus appearing. Thank you very much again to a new friend.

My wife and I were eating at this restaurant today when she suddenly began to feel very ill - she was in severe pain due to her period. In this unexpected and difficult situation, the restaurant employees responded in an incredibly friendly, helpful and sensitive manner. They took care of us immediately, offered us support and even insisted that we didn't have to pay for the food. This gesture of humanity and compassion touched us deeply. By the way, the food was also excellent, but what really impressed us was the warmth and humanity of the entire team. Thank you very much for your help and your warmth – we will never forget this moment and will definitely come back! We are deeply grateful to you – she is doing well now and we are sending you lots of love.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Perfect, variation of trout, risotto, grilled chicken and beef, then tiramisu and profiterol, everything was great!! Very friendly boss who asked several times whether everything was okay, and quick service, we were very satisfied!

Very welcoming environment, which pampers you! One of my favorite places, with the outdoor pond and swans. One of those places you fall in love with. Everything is of excellent quality, for those who don't know the place I absolutely recommend taking a break if you're passing through. 🥰

A place of enjoyment for decades. Sometimes fish, sometimes meat. The staff is always friendly, the food is always of good quality, whether asparagus risotto, salmon fillet or tiramisu.

Conosciamo questo piccolo angolo di paradiso grazie ai consigli della gente del luogo e non lo abbandoniamo per tutta la vacanza. Sandro ci ha accolto nel suo locale come una persona di famiglia, coccolandoci e tenendoci compagnia insieme al suo ottimo staff in modo così empatico da annullare totalmente il normale distacco cliente/ristoratore; al punto che siam tornati da lui tre volte consecutive, mal digerendo il necessario ritorno a casa. La materia prima del locale è eccellente. Chi la tratta sa il proprio mestiere. Chi la serve ha una marcia in più. E il ristoratore che la offre e la presenta sa veramente il fatto suo. Il locale è meritatamente sempre pieno a orario continuato dalle 11 fino a tarda sera e intercetta clientela anche e soprattutto dalla vicina Austria e dalla Slovenia. Inutile parlare dei piatti perché vanno scoperti sul posto e degustati senza fretta in un posto che non vorresti lasciare mai. Anche chi pensa di non gradire la trota finirà per innamorarsene; ma se proprio non si vorrà convertire, troverà una serie di altri ottimi piatti sul menù cucinati con identica maestria e con materie prime di gran qualità. Passare da Ugovizza e non fermarsi da Sandro è un delitto e era un gradito obbligo ricambiare il ricordo che ci ha lasciato impresso con una doverosa e più che meritata recensione di eccellenza. Ristorantino comodo a 10 minuti da Tarvisio,ampio parcheggio,con un laghetto artificiale molto rilassante visibile dalla sala,con trote ed anatre selvatiche! Cibo prevalentemente a base di trota,tartarre di trota all'arancia ottimo, antipasto misto tutto alla trota,ottimo ma tutto freddo (ci vorrebbe qualcosa tiepida) primi ottimi e secondo trota alla griglia con patate lesse freschissima e ben cotta! Vino locale sfuso,friulano,fresco ottimo (non solite bottiglie di vino invecchiato magari anche preggiato e spesso puzzolente baric)! Dolci fatti in casa tiramisu' e strudel buoni non eccezionali! Grandi margini di miglioramento per esempio un pane di miglior qualità anche un po'integrale,in friuli ci sono ottimi forni! Prezzi giusti,forse bassini,migliorando un po' piccole cose potrebbero aumentare! Prezzo 35/40 euro a persona! Bella esperienza!
