Good food, the shank was well-cooked, and the polenta with Taleggio cheese and venison stew were delicious. I really appreciated the staff's dedication and the youthful atmosphere. Excellent value for money.

A refuge near the lake, I've always stopped here for a snack after summer or winter hikes. The blueberry pie is excellent.

We went for lunch on a busy Sunday. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was excellent, and despite it being busy, smiles, speed, and efficiency were never lacking. Unmissable.

We'd been away for a while, but on Sunday, November 9, 2025, my wife Monica, our two big dogs, and I returned. The guys, as always so kind, welcomed us and sat us down in the bar area in front of the stove. It was 6°C outside, and it was very comfortable inside. We ate two polentas (one with Taleggio and mushrooms, and one with Taleggio and wild boar) that were out of this world, drank water and a delicious still white wine from a carafe, and finished with a blueberry dessert. The guys then offered us a truly delicious mountain pine liqueur. Beyond the good food, the atmosphere at Cavone is just what I like, and I always enjoy going there. We really should go back more often.

I sat down to write the review and found myself thinking about the melt-in-your-mouth wild boar and the polenta stuffed with Taleggio cheese... Absolutely worth trying!!!

A break between skiing with wild boar polenta and a good red wine.
Dessert was a must.
I'd say it was an excellent stop, a bit basic but great mountain atmosphere, and improvised company on the spot. Moderately priced. I'll be back.
