A wonderful discovery! Comfortable and spacious rooms, and a very helpful and friendly host (Cristina). Half-board at competitive prices, generous and delicious appetizers, and lovingly prepared first courses. I will definitely be back.

We spent a wonderful Sunday in August after returning from vacation. The Balasso refuge restaurant at the foot of Mount Pasubio was a wonderful discovery. From here, you can see the Papa refuge perfectly and glimpse the final stretch of the 52 tunnels trail. The memory of the 2021 hike is still vivid. My warmest compliments to all the staff. Located near the funicular that was used during the Great War, it offers a unique view near the Trentino border. Friendly and attentive staff. Prices are more than fair. The dishes are exquisite. The gnocchi with smoked ricotta and pancetta and the roasted porchetta are outstanding. Generous portions. Excellent Malbech 🍷 served in a large cup 😊 You come here with the right group of friends. We will definitely be back.

A small inn near Pian delle Fugazze. An ideal base for excursions in the Little Dolomites. Sumptuous cuisine and exquisite hospitality.

We've been to this refuge several times, usually on Mondays, and even when it's quiet, they've always welcomed us warmly. The staff is courteous and friendly. The dishes are plentiful and truly delicious. The homemade gnocchi are truly delicious, even the fioreta ones. The meat is excellent. The prices are very fair.

The Balasso refuge is located in a fairly isolated position, in the Pasubio valleys; however, it is easily accessible on a well-maintained road. I had the opportunity to stay 2 nights and I am fully satisfied The large rooms are very clean and well-maintained and, although not luxurious, they fully fulfill their use, even the bathrooms are in perfect condition. The half-board service is truly excellent and the cuisine is home-made, rustic and genuine, everything we tasted was excellent. Mrs. Fin is kind and helpful. The place is also located in a strategic position for walking or cycling. If you are in the area, a dinner is a must try; if instead you want to stop for a MTB or walking tour, at the Balasso refuge you can find an excellent base for your tour. Recommended
