We spent a wonderful Sunday in August after returning from vacation. The Balasso refuge restaurant at the foot of Mount Pasubio was a wonderful discovery. From here, you can see the Papa refuge perfectly and glimpse the final stretch of the 52 tunnels trail. The memory of the 2021 hike is still vivid. My warmest compliments to all the staff. Located near the funicular that was used during the Great War, it offers a unique view near the Trentino border. Friendly and attentive staff. Prices are more than fair. The dishes are exquisite. The gnocchi with smoked ricotta and pancetta and the roasted porchetta are outstanding. Generous portions. Excellent Malbech 🍷 served in a large cup 😊 You come here with the right group of friends. We will definitely be back.

We've been to this refuge several times, usually on Mondays, and even when it's quiet, they've always welcomed us warmly. The staff is courteous and friendly. The dishes are plentiful and truly delicious. The homemade gnocchi are truly delicious, even the fioreta ones. The meat is excellent. The prices are very fair.
