08/02/2026: Attracted by the evening's special, four of us went for fish.
The appetizer was two scallops, fresh and delicious.
The first course was linguine with clams; the sauce was good, but unfortunately the pasta was a little too al dente; a minute more cooking was appropriate.
The second course was grilled scallops and mussels with tomato sauce, both good.
The dessert was delicious, tiramisu.
Overall, except for the pasta, everything was good and fresh.
As for suggestions, I'd opt for a slightly more comfortable space; the place is small, but we were all a bit crowded in the room.
And maybe a complimentary digestive...
17/01/2026: I attended the "shellfish dinner," one of the culinary events that the ancient Osteria Venerio has been organizing for years, and last night we ate very well too: the mise en place was a bit spartan... as you would expect in an osteria, but the dinner was excellent, based on scallops, lobster, and Argentinean prawns, super friendly service, rustically welcoming place, excellent wines from Friuli and the Colli Orientali: well done everyone, I'll be back 👍💯🍷
