Ristorante Quintilio In Altare

What can I say, here we are at a restaurant with excellent Michelin star quality (the place is in the guide). They brought us from Switzerland for a business lunch and everything is at a level of absolute excellence, from the dishes to the excellent recommended wine. Nothing to say, everything was really perfect with the owner being wonderfully courteous. It's impossible not to recommend it and it cannot be ruled out that in some madness we will leave Switzerland just to return to taste some excellence!!

In this restaurant the food is always excellent, the wine is of the highest level and the service is always impeccable. If we want to return, one flaw is the location with little parking but it is definitely worth taking a walk. A special mention for the truly very good chef.

We have always eaten in this restaurant especially during the white truffle period. We now live in Campania and having gone to Liguria for a medical visit we booked for dinner. Everything is based on white truffles, even the ice cream which with salt flakes, extra virgin olive oil and truffles is a delicacy. The owners are always available and very kind, the friendly staff is very professional. The room is welcoming and well furnished. We ate really well and reluctantly leave the place. Compliments!

It’s never a delusion, Quintilio is a great restaurant and over the years we love to stop here for a very good meal. The ingredients that the talented chef uses are fresh and seasonal , so you always have the best flavours in your dish . When it comes to truffle season he has the best as when he cooks fried mushrooms. Very good their choice of breads and small focaccia and pizzette, spectacular this time for us was a “ finanziera “ a typical old Piedmontese dish not easy to find . Don’t miss their freshly made ice cream with zabaglione or their desserts . All in a beautiful ambiance with a superb service .

Un piacere constatare che in questo ristorante si mantiene ancora un bel tovagliato, ormai pressoché assente, anche in locali stellati. Sia i proprietari, lo chef e la consorte, come pure i camerieri, si distinguono per gentilezza e professionalità. Ho potuto degustare, come antipasto, tartare di fassona con tartufo bianco, quindi i ravioli al plin al tartufo bianco dalla sfoglia sottilissima e sapore delizioso. Come secondo, brasato di fassona al barolo, cotto alla perfezione, con patate squisite. Dessert: una fragrante crostatina accompagnata da un calice di Malvasia delle Lipari. Un' ottima bottiglia di Barbaresco Gallina Castello Neive 2020 accompagna magistralmente questi piatti di proverbiale bontà. Il pranzo si conclude con un ottimo caffè ed un cognac Dudognon VSOP. Lo chef mi concede un buon sconto sul totale pagando così un importo di euro 230. Più che soddisfatto di aver sostato presso Quintilio, una garanzia senza riserve.

Absolute quality. There is nothing else to add. Exceptional wines and menus of absolute pleasure. Not a comma out of place. Highly recommended

A restaurant that aspires to a star and has all the cards on the table to be able to obtain it: pleasantly warm and sincere welcome, excellent service, interesting and good dishes, price in line with the aspirations of recognition from someone who certainly knows more than me.

Superb food with such warm service!! Don’t be fooled by the restaurant’s unassuming exterior and location as the dishes served here are truly top notch! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit after doing some hiking in the area (highly recommend this itinerary). Looking forward to visiting again! :)
