Ristorante PRIMI PIATTI In Palermo

A local friend suggested this establishment and I was not disappointed. Pasta was perfect al dente, not overly seasoned, so you can taste the real flavors of the food. It tasted like something my Noni would make. Loved the stone walls and simple decor. Staff was very kind and attentive . This dining experience was true comfort!

I ordered the Casarecce Pesce spada e Melanzane, and it was very good. At first, I almost didn't order it because the menu said it had "mint". Fortunately, I couldn't even detect a taste of mint. My friend ordered Spaghetti al Pesto Siciliano, and he enjoyed his as well. The only critique I have is that the food came after waiting more than an hour.

Very nice restaurant in a quite street just a few steps away from the hustle and bustle of via Vittorio Emanuele. Great ambience and food, friendly stuff. Do not miss it.

Lovely hidden little place, the decoration was very medieval and very nice. We ordered a Sicilian starter mix plate, a pasta dish and grilled prawns. The starter was quite nice, the pasta was good although it was not al dente. For an authentic Italian restaurant, pasta should be al dente so this was not very satisfying. Then the grilled prawns were burnt and in some prawns there was clearly a taste of burnt.

Our first lunch in Palermo. Following the name of the restaurant i ate a very tasty pasta with sarde. Very good. Staff extremely nice.

I had high hopes for the restaurant, and tucked down a tiny side street with a handful of tables outside it felt really authentic. The bare walls inside were equally as appealing and the place had a real charm about it. It was very quiet on the evening I visited and the service was alright, with the serving of each portion not being rushed, which was nice. I liked that they offer carafes of wine at incredible prices, and indeed all the food on the extensive menu is great value. The taste however wasn’t quite as impressive - the spaghetti pasta didn’t taste the freshest and the veal was a bit lacking in flavour. Portion sizes were good though and presentation was traditional. For a no-fuss traditional meal which didn’t feel like a tourist trap it was good, but not being blown away with the food means I won’t be rushing back.

We had an excellent lunch. Highly recommended! We spent 15€ pp.
