Optimal! Homemade food of the highest quality, a one-of-a-kind mushroom menu, a family atmosphere that feels like having lunch at a relative's house. Super recommended, reserved but friendly owner

Ottima accoglienza, menù di funghi superlativo! La varietà delle preparazioni è davvero notevole, super l' insalata di ovoli e quella di porcini, le fette di mazze di tamburo al sesamo una bella innovazione. Naturalmente le proposte dipendono dalla disponibilità del momento. Il menu di funghi va prenotato.

I found this place on the Slow Food guide and it was worth a visit. We opted for the wild mushroom tasting menu. The restaurant is deep in the Etna uplands, full of beautiful forests and the mushrooms did not disappoint! It was homely, simple place with paper napkins and nothing fancy - the kind of place locals gravitate to on a Sunday. We were there on a very quiet Tuesday lunch time and we talked and shared experiences with two neighbouring tables, like an old school trattoria. The mushroom menu was very good overall, with variety and generous portions, and the freshness of the various mushroom varieties including Porcini stood out. My mum had a very good and cheap sparkling local wine. A very pleasant experience overall.

17/04/2025: I think it's worth going earlier in the day when it's still light - because of the view. The restaurant is actually known for having a great view from there, and for that reason it is rather more expensive. The food was good, but honestly not as wow as I expected. I liked the dessert the best! The service was great – very friendly and attentive.
