a stone's throw from the famous and ancient Arch of Trajan.
The restaurant is a historic restaurant on the square
Benevento and is managed by the legendary and very nice Paolo Moscovio. During the winter period it is only possible to use the internal room which has around fifty seats (so it is better to book), unlike the summer where it is possible to use tables outside.
We eat the classic and typical Benevento cuisine, the home-made cuisine of the past. The Cardone we tried was fantastic, the staff were friendly, polite and friendly.
Try it and you won't regret it.

Ristorante situato nel centro storico di Benevento, a due passi dal famoso e antico arco di Traiano. Il ristorante è un ristorante storico sulla piazza beneventana ed è gestito dal mitico e simpaticissimo Paolo Moscovio. Durante il periodo invernale è possibile usufruire solo della sala interna che ha una cinquantina di posti (dunque meglio prenotare), a differenza dell’estate dove è possibile usufruire di tavoli all’esterno. Si mangia la classica e tipica cucina beneventana, la cucina fatta in casa di una volta. Fantastico il Cardone che abbiamo provato, personale gentile, educato e simpatico.

A picturesque place, typical Italian wood-fired food, we had lunch there and Franco's service was excellent, the food was very good, the price very reasonable

Nella piazza antestante l’arco di Trajana,, ci son un po’ di ristoranti e bar. Questa Piazzeria ristorante va avanti da quaranta anni. E’ un locale spazioso con vetrine sulla piazza. Confortevole con buon servizio e prezzi veramente molto bassi. Abbiamo preso un antipasto al buffet per soli 4€. Due pizze e un acqua e coperto 27€. Niente male!
