An enchanting refuge in the Calabrian mountains, as welcoming as the owner who honored us with a taste of capocollo and pecorino. Excellent food, homemade and tasty.

Good food, relatively short but excellent appetizer, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and a taste of finc pasta (homemade) with sauce with pecorino, excellent, only good meats, poor staff, but they work hard. Wonderful location, in the heart of the mountain, suggestive I would say. Only for me as a foreigner I would avoid the evening, a truly mountain road.

I had lunch here on a weekday with my wife, I can't recommend it enough!
The mixed starter is really tasty, both my first course and my wife's second course were plentiful and tasty.
The house wine was also really good.

Unforgettable experience. I had the pleasure of having dinner at Pino Loricato thanks to the vivid advice of the inhabitants of Civita, who are very proud of this restaurant (and now I understand why). Giovanni, the owner, welcomed us with a brotherly warmth and a friendliness that I have rarely received in restaurants. The restaurant is beautiful, there is a bucolic air that instills immense peace. We ate very well, typical Calabrian-Lucanian dishes and plentiful. The expense was much lower than our expectations. Special thanks go to Giovanni, who was extremely kind and professional in advising us during the order and was excellent company in chatting and having a laugh with us between one course and another. Furthermore, he was infinitely helpful, even with regards to anything other than dinner. Thanks John.
We will definitely return, certainly to try Emanuele's very famous pizza, but also to contemplate the centuries-old loricated pines that surround the restaurant (and give it its name), about which Giovanni spoke to us with such pride.

Non delude mai, passano gli anni ma si conferma sempre all'altezza, ottime pizze, antipasti gustosi e generosi primi piatti di prima qualità, gestori come sempre cordiali e disponibili ad accontentare i clienti. Grande pino loricato.

I recommend this restaurant for what you eat. Excellent Calabrian home cooking, well cooked with excellent flavours. Very nice location away from traffic and city casinos surrounded by greenery. The only flaw is the service unfortunately. Very slow. Very slow. They should put a few more waiters and encourage the chef in the kitchen. It is not possible that an hour of waiting passes between the starter and the first course 😱😱
